Totally unexpected result, but at least our 1 Bonus Point
keeps us at the Top of the League going into the New Year.

Don't think we can feel hard done to we seemed to make quite a
few mistakes. Well done Leeds.

Scant consolation I’m afraid. Kick the ball away too often.
How many pens did we have that didn’t find touch?
Surely we knew the size of the pitch?
Poor result I’m afraid it has to be said.
As you say Winger still top but we butchered a great chance
today. Even more important Callum went off injured.

We were very poor today. Our kicking was not effective and lead
to our downfall. Countless errors and penalties.
We just kicked away possession to a side that wanted the ball.
Leeds kicking was far better than ours, far more intelligent.
Missed touch twice from penalties in a good position.
There didn’t seem to be a plan B when plan A wasn’t working.
You have to say Leeds deserved the win they were far more up for
it.
You can’t make any excuses we were poor simple as that.
I think the lads have a lot to work on after that.

Yep, just not clinical enough. Plus should have got the subs on
quicker as it wasn’t working and we were just too laboured -
Leeds weren’t a quick team and watching JB waddling around with
Sinjin on the bench till the end was frustrating. Feel for Rob,
just one of those days. We’re so much better than that, but need
to bring more energy. Feel like we’ve been holding on and
Christmas is here just in time.

It was a poor day at the office and everything has been said
really. The only thing I could add was that where we were
sitting you could feel leeds energy rise from our errors. I
think this had an impact.

This games seems very much like the Plymouth game in a way. I
thought we kicked poorly in that game. Either the kick is
contestable or it goes into touch. If you just give teams free
possession then you are asking for trouble and spaffing your
chances of scoring. I hope the Harvey epilougue is honest and
that we have to say we didn't perform. I wonder, going by the
recent results, if we were just going off the boil a little.
Hopefully the break will be good and we can re-group. The Loss
to Leeds however is a bit of a disaster as every team will have
a bit of a lift in confidence against us, hopefully we can nip
that in the bud quickly in the new year.

To me, "Kicking the Ball away" has become the Norm in Rugby
Union. I know that Try's have been scored from doing this, but
in the Modern Game defenders have become far more secure under
the High Ball. There will always be a time when the " Up and
Under " is a good attacking option, but this was generally done
in the Oppositions 20, where you can really put them under
pressure.
I'd like to know what percentage of Ball that our Forwards
have Won from Set Scrums and Breakdowns that has been kicked
away this s3ason.
As many of us have said, we have a very good set of Backs,
probably the best for a few seasons, so let's put the Ball into
their Hands and let them Run with it. If you have an asset make
use of it.

If they have the ball we can't score. At times today we had good
territory but chose to kick rather than send it through our
backs. On the occasions it went through the backs I thought they
looked far stronger than the Leeds backs
Consequently, kicking away possession put us under pressure
rather than continuing to stretch Leeds.with ball in hand we are
dangerous and that is our strong suit. I think today's game will
be something we will quickly bounce back from.
