Great result considering it wasn't our best day at the office.
We seemed to be a little bit slow and steady today and made some
daft errors but we overcame that, got the win, the try bonus and
in the end a convincing scoreline. I always say a sign of a
title winning side is to find ways to win when you are not at
your best and that is what we did today. It's not always going
to smooth sailing and we toughed it out.
I thought that Jackson Barling was outstanding today, he stepped
up in the second half when we needed some creativity and got us
on the front. From there we looked a lot more alive. Everyone
played well as they all do we just weren't as cohesive as a
group as we have been and seemed a bit off the pace. The lads
found the way to win in the end. Lloyd had a great game as
always, as did Callum, his offloading today was particularly
good.
As me and my dad left after the third half I had the chance to
speak to Harvey, I let him know that Rams had beaten Park as the
result just came in and I had to thank for what he has done for
the club and he said 'it is all down to the players' and that is
right. This squad are special and if they can just stay together
then they can achieve great things for us fans. Harvey is a
great bloke and a special coach. We are very lucky to have him,
the team and the club. I'd say this is our best team for maybe
10 years, since the Lee Blackett days and with how young they
are they will only improve and if we do get promotion they
deserve that chance to test themselves at a higher level.

In the First-Half Sedgley certainly outplayed us, they had most
ball possession, most territory and ran the ball at us at every
opportunity. To be honest I was surprised that they weren't
leading at Half-Time.
What was said in the changing room at Half-Time?. In the
Second-half we scored 4 tries, 4 conversations and with the turn
round in Possession and Territory we SHOULD have scored more.
In Jackson Barling we have a Winger of Class, Agile, Strong and
Fast, so Why is the Ball not in his Hands more ofter ?
Again I thought that the Referee had a Poor Game, but that's
enough said.
On the Wide, Open space at Headingley next Saturday, if our
Backs are released to run with the Ball in Hand they could have
a Birthday.

Great posts that say everything about the game. Very
comprehensive Chris. It was a hard fought win and we are now 5
pts clear. Great for half way. All teams in this league are good
and pose dangers

Hope Mitchell is OK. We could see he was carrying an injury but
battling on. Seemed to be his ankle.

Yes Mitchell was hobbling from the start of the second half. He
couldn't run at his full pace and was visibly uncomfortable.
Hopefully it isn't too serious as he has been outstanding this
season on the wing and in the centre.
