An interesting interview in the Yorkshire Post

The "thoughts of Harvey" tagged on to the match report are very
interesting. It sounds like the second half was a a case of
adapting and reshuffling. The 20 player squad, does present a
restriction to all teams and forces players out of position and
a tactical challenge in on-field leadership. It sounds like we
did well to survive the RAMS come-back. Hopefully we can
re-group for Sedgley at home, they have had a mixed season but
every team is a banana skin, especially as we do not seem to
have fired on all cylinders thus far in the season (according to
the article).

Great article. I think Harvey is completely right we have more
to come from this team. I do believe our best performances are
to come. The thing is it is so competitive in this league you
can't ever have a moment off or you will get punished. Look at
Bishops Stortford coming back through now, Mose thumped Leeds on
the weekend and Lions competed well against Rosslyn Park.
Nothing is a given and every side can beat you if you don't turn
up.
To be where we are at this stage is fantastic and if we can get
another 5 pointer this weekend it means at the half way stage we
will be top and you really can't ask for more than that.

Harvey is a fantastic coach, he’s changed the mindset at the
club, and the mindset of our supporters. Too many of our fans
were happy when we were in Nat 2 playing Wharfdale, Sheffield
Tigers and Hull Ionians, as they were local games.
Harvey saw the potential of the club, and has upped the ante big
time.
Now, it’s regarded as this league, or the 1 above, is the place
that our club should be striving to play - exciting times.

I think that is a really great point. The mindset change is
unbelievable. For a while there you did feel that we had found
our natural level in Nat 2N and there is nothing wrong with
that. Lots of local derbies, less travel etc but what Harvey and
the club have done is truly magical. He has seen the potential
and is putting everything in to see that through.
There is such a buzz and sense of optimism around the club and
other teams notice it. We are very lucky in this moment in time
and long may it continue. Looking forward to this weekends game!
