Excellent win against a very good team. Well done titans.

We have struggled at their plate in the recent past so to bring
back 5 is outstanding.
We go again next week against Sedgeley Park who will be a tough
side to crack but I’m confident in the 5 again!

Thanks again for the updates, Watto. It got a bit tense towards
the end.

Ran out of steam a bit at the end, quite a few cramping up. Boys
must be knackered, need to dip into the squad more or they’ll be
on fumes when we get to the business end of the season. Great
win, Rams are no mugs.

What a fantastic result. I am totally made up by this.
4 try bonus by half time at a place we’ve never won at before
(same at Sale FC and look how good they are this year)
Every win is hard earned in this league. Rams are a formidable
team at this level and although they have not as yet hit the
heights of previous seasons, they are a real tough team and they
had some big guns in their team today.
They absolutely refuse to be beaten and we knew what was coming
in the second half. You are never going to go to a place like
Rams and dominate, but, as at Sale we were ruthless when we got
the opportunity.
With our DOR at the helm I believe we are on the cusp of
something special, but notwithstanding that, what a fantastic
league this is.
Many congratulations to all concerned.
👏👏👏👏👏

Brilliant. hard fought win away at Rams, watching the updates it
looks like Rams threw everything at us in the second half (as
their match report suggests). It is a good place to be when
teams are happy to "not lose by much" against you.
Next fixture sees the last team of this half of the season and
then we start the long road back. Question is do we need to dig
a little deeper into our squad? its an attritional league and it
looks like most teams can beat any other team on their day,
everyone is improving. However, you have to balance that with
knowing that every bonus point counts when you have teams like
blackheath, Rams, Plymouth, Park and a resurgent Sale breathing
down your kneck. Does digging deeper risk those points? I guess
only the players and coaching team know. There are going to be
some very tired bodies out there by the end of the season, come
what may. This is such a great league to watch your team play
in.

Yep, I get why Harvey would be conservative as it’s working, but
the fixtures at the end of the season look pretty tough so need
to be able to finish strong rather than be holding on. Just to
balance opportunities for BPs with managing the squad.

On the face of it Geech it is tough, but momentum is a wonderful
thing. Use Richmond as an example. When they beat us in the last
minute down there at about this stage of the season as it
happened, they never looked back. It’s about looking at the next
game & not beyond that. There are no gimmes in this league so we
don’t want to lose focus by worrying too much about what’s
ahead. The end of last season was brutal and we were always
chasing. If we can close out the games before Christmas, our
lead in theory could be greater. If we start to think too much
about the end of the season and maybe keeping players back
purely for bigger games then that is where we will come unstuck.
There are no bigger games than the next one. Any team can and
will beat us if we get ahead of ourselves. Let other teams worry
about us. Besides, the games that look big at the end of the
season might not be so big if we can build a lead. Let them
worry about us.
Respect every team but let them fear playing us, not the other
way round.

Well I guess now we know. I can see Harvey getting increasingly
risk averse and making defendable decisions rather than using
the squad. Shame and if anyone goes down their replacement will
be undercooked. Don’t agree with it but I understand it.

If you can, come along and watch a Tuesday training session. No
one involved in that is undercooked. Some of the players wear
trackers that monitor their effort/stats in games and in
training and the results from the training shows they’re pushed
and stretched more than in a game! Some of the less regular
members of the match day are putting in hard yards to support
the whole squad, and everyone who’s stepped up so far hasn’t, to
me, looked out of place.
As Harvey has said today, the injury list isn’t allowing him yet
to select from a full squad - we are lucky to have such quality
in the replacements.
