Fantastic result in poor conditions and now top of the league.
Thought my sponsored player jack baldry had a great game in his
1st start. Isaac shaw was his usual self never drops a ball no
matter what the weather but my man of the match went to Ellis
Thomas I thought he was bloody brilliant

Can't recall Roth not scoring at all in a half when playing
towards the club house

Jack was awesome today. Put in an awesome shift, hit countless
tackles and was first in the rucks very often!

Great win against a very strong Blackheath team. It is a little
worrying how we seem to have dropped off, certainly attack wise,
in the second half. Does any one who watch know how this came
about? was it just that Blackheath "worked us out" or was it our
problem of lineout malfunction, which seems to have palgued us
for the last 3-4 matches. Plymouth away is going to be a very
tough match. It looks to me that our defence is our super
strength that we can use to soak up pressure but I think we need
to get players like Barling, Shaw and Babalola back into scoring
tries to keep our postion. We are 9 from 10 so superb season so
far, hope we can get through this very tough pre-Christmas set
unscathed.

This is proving to be an amazing league that'll remain very
tight till the last game, just hope we can continue as we have
been and keep the wins coming.

The main reason for me, Rothoik, that we "dropped off" in the
second half was the lineout again. Some overthrown; once again
we didn't get anyone off the floor; and then there were a few
that slipped through the fingers in the difficult conditions.
Difficult to attack, when every time we got a penalty in a
dangerous area, we handed possession back to the via them
lineout at least half a dozen times.
Having said that, it was an excellent performance overall.
Especially the defence; I only remember Blackheath breaking our
line once and then they were hauled down pretty quick. Their
handling was very good in the conditions - they were getting
through a lot of phases towards the end. So keeping them out was
an awesome piece of teamwork and determination.
Isaac and Ellis stood out for me again, but a fantastic effort
by all involved.

Interestingly enough, the Clifton side that beat Rosslyn Park
Yesterday had 9 changes from the team that Rotherham put 40
points on (at Clifton). I wonder if there is a bit of "Dings"
ringer type stuff going on there. Leeds also beat dings
yesterday, strange old league! ::)

On the Rolling Maul message board, a Rosslyn supporter also
acknowledged that it’s hard to win with 3 yellow cards! That’s
30 minutes with a man down - tough against a strong pack.
