What a Game, What a Team, What a Club

What a Game to remember and to savour for some time to come.
The result wasn't decided until the last play of the game. For
the 1st 18 mins of the game we were camped on Parks Try Line,
thro a mixture of our mistakes and Parks resolute Defending
their Line stayed intact. On 20 mins we scored a Try
       (Barling/Con missed) 5 - 0. On 26 mins Park scored
       Converted Try 5 - 7.
We then scored a Converted Try on 36 mins (Veness / Hayes) for a
       12 - 7 lead.
Parks Backs were attacking with Gusto and retook the Lead just 2
       mins later with a Try/Con 12 - 14. A Try by ( Newborn) put
us back in front at 17 - 14.
In the 56 min Gordon ran thro thro the Park defence to score an
       excellent Try ( Gordon + Hayes C ) 24 - 14. A 10 pt lead
looked good, but in the 68 mins Park hit back with their 3rd Try
/ Con 27 - 21. In the 76 min (Hayes) Converted an excellent
Penalty Kick from near the Halfway line 27 - 21.
With about 3 mins to go could we Control things / Hang on to Win
the game ?. But NO, Park came back to score thier 4th Try
       just 2 mins later. 27 - 26
The Final Score was going to be decided by the Park Goalkicker.
The Ground was Silent as he approached the Ball, we'll never
know what was going thro his mind, but he hit the Ball and
pushed it across the Face of the Goalposts.
THE WHOLE GROUND ARRUPTED. The Ball was kicked off by Park,
I didn't see what happened with it ( tears of joy in my eyes )
but the Ref blew up for Time.
Only ONE player of the match today, and that was Every Player
on the Field and Every Titans supporter in the Ground who ALL
       played their part.

I was gutted I had to miss the Bishops' game but I'm glad I
didn't miss this. An outstanding performance front to back. Hats
off to Park for making it such a fierce contest. You could see
what it meant to the team, Big John's celebration in front of
the shed said it all - priceless!

       One Point, One Roar
They came with fire, with pace, with pride,
       Rosslyn Park, bold and battle-tried.
Clifton Lane stood, hearts in hand,
As Titans rose to make their stand.
The sun bore witness, the crowd held breath,
Each clash a dance with fate and death.
Four tries carved in maroon flame,
Each one a hymn to Roth’s proud name.
But Park would not be turned away,
They struck with grit, they made us sway.
And as the clock ticked past its end,
A final kick, the game to bend.
The ball took flight, the crowd fell still,
A hush that wrapped the Clifton hill.
It veered, it dipped, it missed the mark—
And Roth let loose its thunderous bark.
One point the margin, one point the tale,
Of Titans who refused to fail.
No stroll, no ease, no points for free—
Just heart, and grit, and unity.
So raise the scroll, let voices soar,
For Roth, for pride, for Shed-side lore.
This was our finest hour, no doubt—
And we’re just getting started out.
