Great result. Great team effort.
I thought we were the better team and the one-point margin
flattered Rosslyn Park a bit. We were definitely on top in the
scrums for an hour, although they had the better of the
lineoutsj - especially the ones where they threw very quickly
and caught us off guard. Two tries from that I think. They were
clinical finishers and looked sharp at quick restarts.
Our kicking was very effective and we (mainly Isaac - my MoM)
nullified their kicking to a large extent.
We kept going to the end. Even when it was clear they were going
to score their final try, we didn't let up. Whichever of our
players put pressure on their try scorer and forced him towards
the touchline, made the last kick missable and kept us in front.

I’d love to see their last try again. From our angle it looked
like they were going in right under the posts but the ball was
offloaded to the 9 who seemed to head straight for the corner!
Presumably due to good pressure from our defence, but I doubt
their 10 was best pleased!

Yes Travis forced their lad out wide which probably won us the
game. He deserves credit for his determination!
Had he not done that and their lad dotted down under the posts
we would be on the loosing side!
Well done Travis, great conversion from Flanker to Centre. His
performances will only get better as he learns the role over
time!

Yes, Travis had a great game. His try as well.
He should definitely have been in my thoughts when I was
considering who I would have chosen for MoM.
