Sounds like we managed to really polish the scoreline in the
last 10 mins. It seemed like a really tough encounter and Lions
may be frustrated to end up with a another 40 points plus put on
them, they will win a few matches, I'm sure.

Very tough conditions. Ball swirling everywhere and Lions seem
to be in a false position in the league as they were very tough
opposition. We made some mistakes at kick offs or drop ball but
I think that was due to the really tough conditions. The team
stuck at it and did dominate, particularly in the second half
with the wind. The result was fair but I think Leicester
deserved a point. This is a very special squad we have. New lads
stepped in very well.

That was some nervous reading from afar this week. Sounds like a
tough encounter. I think we all knew Lions would give us
problems. Seems like they are in a false position and will start
to climb the table!
Well done to the lads who sticked it out in tough conditions.
The big test is next week, Rosalyn Park will be heading to us
with all the confidence in the world having beaten Blackheath
away and Plymouth at home.
No room for error next week. Rest up, train well and let’s give
Park all we have.
Next week will not be one to miss! Let’s get behind the lads and
cheer them on in what will be a fantastic display of Nat 1
rugby!
Come on ROTH!

They can have all the confidence they want but they won’t have
played anyone like us.
Sure it was an arm wrestle today, but considering the awful
conditions & the changes we made, we did very well. The ball
must have been like a bar of soap and the wind makes things a
lottery to a degree + we were up against a team who are no mugs
and had loanees from Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers in
their team. We had three debutants and one of them, Norman got
two tries before sadly injuring his ribs. I hope he is ok. This
season it is clear we have strength in depth. They would have
beaten a good number of teams today & have had a horrendous run
of fixtures.
We will respect Rosslyn but that is it. They are great club but
I believe the Mighty Roth will rise to the occasion and see them
off too.

It has been stated on numerous occasions that there are no easy
matches in this league, and any team on their day can beat
anyone. We certainly had a huge arm wrestle and at half time
there was nothing between the teams. Certainly the conditions
played their part but The Lions were still in close contention
until the final whistle. Although we were battling their try
line we were made to fight for every point. Not sure how much
the size of the pitch dictated team selection but we looked
vulnerable out wide. A five point win was what was needed to
preserve our position at the top of the table but next weekend
will be a real test and measure of the quality of the squad.
Hopefully home advantage will favour us. It will be interesting
to see our team selection for next week as I felt that compared
to previous weeks the team that played yesterday didn’t quite
gel as well.

5 points from a game played win difficult conditions - job done.
Thought we dominated in the scrum. Our pack looked very much
bigger than theirs. We won the kicking duels that were always
going to happen in that sort of weather. Lineout worked ok.
They made less handling errors than we did and they never
stopped going for it. We could have had a lot more tries
without the dropped balls and knock-ons. Cold hands and a wet
ball after good conditions for our slick passing at the start of
the season.
Isaac MoM for me; great under the high ball in a swirling wind.
Mitchell and Jackson both looked good again. Looking forward to
next week. I heard concerns about the injuries building up -
hope we are recovered for next week.
Well done all.
