Happy Days

Due to illness, having an operation and then convalescing I
missed Every Game last season, the first time, has a supporter
and Player, apart from the Covid season, since 1959 / 60. I
hadn't Driven my Car since last August but now I've been given
clearance to drive again.
I've been on a few short Journeys and feel Great, so come the
beginning of the Season I should be at Clifton Lane for ALL
games.
Just have to re-new my Membership Card now and it will be all
systems go.
We look to have signed an excellent Squad, with plenty of
Experience and Quality, so I'm looking Forwards to another
successful season.

Thanks to All for your comments. I was in a Dark place for a
long time, I found it more and more difficult to Walk without
falling and to Talk clearly. I became Incontinent and started to
Lose my Memory. Eventually I was diagnosed with HYDROCEPHALUS.
I was admitted to the LGI where I had an operation to have a
SHUNT fitted to drain the excess Fluid from around my Brain.
After a short time everything I suffered with was cured. I was
in Hospital for 5 weeks. Before I left Hospital I was informed
that an X-ray I'd had, had shown that I had a NON MALIGNANT
TUMOUR in the Left side of my Brain. I'm now waiting to go back
to the Hospital for One Day to have this Shrunk using
GAMMA-RAYS.
I've heard people moan about the Health Service, but the way I
was looked after in Hospital was Marvellous. The Doctors, the
Nurses, the Physiotherapists and the young Lass's who brought
you your Food three times a day, with never a moan.
When I came Home from Hospital my Wife became my own personal
Florence Nightingale, again without a moan. Must be Love :)
Finally, I'm on a Waiting List to have a Left Knee replacement.
I worked in the Steel Works for 20 years, the Prison Service
for 29 years and played Rugby for 16 years. Throughout all this
I had a Few Stitches, a Few Cuts, a Few Bruises and the Odd
Dislocated Finger. I never suffered with anything that kept me
from going to Work or playing Rugby. But with a Bit of extra
Fluid slushing around my Brain I felt has though I was at Deaths
Door. Ain't Life Funny.
Sorry that I've Rambled on a bit but I've got to get my typing
finger back into gear, ready for the new season.
Roger
