Entertaining game with a good result in the end. Did look like
it was all going to go wrong with about 10 minutes left. But
the lads saw it out.
Will Dennis looks like a good prospect and nice to see Jamie
Cooke back in action.
Scrum in charge first half but not so after the break.
It was mistakes that cost us.
Actually thought the kicking has served us well in the main; we
have scored tries from kicks behind the opponents' line this
season, and for the last few minutes, I definitely wanted to
play in their half in case we gave a penalty away.
Well done all.

Got home from Holiday to late to get to today's game, sick about
that, but really happy with the result. Reading comments on the
Forum is encouraging, but with nearly a complete new squad we
are still making the same silly mistakes has last season.
Four Bonus points already this season, only one team has more,
so that is a good sign.
Looking at today's results and League table, there are LOTS of
points and tries scored in this league.
Next week's opponents, Loughborough, lost today 57 - 25 and 9T
to 3T, but shows they can score. They have lost all 5 of their
games so far. A good performance against them will certainly
give us a big boost to carry us forward.

For the last couple of seasons we seem to
Have great difficulty in scoring when in opponents 22. We seem
to keep moving the ball from side to side until the inevitable
mistake.
Be totally unable to defend rolling mauls.
Have great difficulty in converting our own mauls.
Repeatedly give away stupid penalties.
Kick away possession ( having said that the kicking in the first
half yesterday was good partly due to Sale being shaky under the
high ball)
Some of these problems are amenable to coaching aren’t
they?

Our lineout failed 2 or 3 crucial times when in position for RM
try time.
31 new lads mostly very young so I’m happy with where we are and
we’ll get better as the season progresses.
