Sedgley Park supporters

I have been watching rugby for many years and there has always
been some banter and friendly interaction between supporters.
This afternoon I witnessed behaviour and support from a small
group of Sedgley Park supporters which I feel needs to be
highlighted as totally unacceptably and banished from our game.
There was constant use of swear words and reference to
genitalia. They were also berating the match officials about
their decision. Some Rotherham supporters were so incensed by
their conduct they moved away from them. There supporter
resembled the image I have as football louts and have no place
within rugby supporters.

It was one individual who was as you say over the top and wrong.
We did have a word with him and he stopped the swearing and
calmed down in the second half. That’s not sweeping it under the
carpet l, it was wrong and unrepresentative of Sedgley Park. The
vast majority of supporters from Sedge today were all former
first XV players (so not football supporters) so they know
exactly what’s expected. Unfortunately one individual should not
damage or be representative of our club.
We have a great long term relationship with Rotherham and long
may that continue.
On behalf of the club can I apologise for any offence caused.

Many thanks, Sedge Tiger, for such a swift response on behalf of
your club. I would agree there was one individual who was
constantly overstepping the mark. Hopefully by raising my
concerns other clubs will not be subjected to his behaviour and
this was a one off occurrence.
I look forward to many more matches between our clubs.

I've been following the Titans for the past 35years, home and
away, always enjoyed the friendly banter and company of
opposition supporters,
but have never ever been near anything like yesterday, yes it
was one individual, who I thought was under the influence of
something, bad language, insulting players and officials, I
moved to be well away from him. Thankfully I hadn't brought my
daughter and granddaughter to the maatch. Thought some of the
sedgley players were embarrassed by his antics and language.
