well that is a rose tinted spectacles report based upon the
match I saw. Still we have to spin it a little (great Deal) I
suppose. With regard to the Ground John, if they have ambition
to progress they are future proof with facilities. We have to
say we are happy with rickety old Clifton lane because its all
we have and it is a poor cousin to most Rugby grounds, even the
proper ones with soul. I will be there for a probable thumping
from rosslyn next week ;)
On another note it must have been Dalington FC who were turning
out as I drove past the sports ground. a lot of cars and
Spectators. I think they are in the bottom third of L
National League North but had a much stronger fan base than
Mowden (or us for that matter). Remember the days of 3 deep all
around the ground for the Derby games!
Another very interesting sitiuation is that Harrogate Town are
top of the National League. If a small club like Harrogate win
that league and gain promotion to League 2 that will be a real
achievement. I hope they do it. When you look at the league
there are Professional clubs with History below them.

By the way - Joe wants us to be patient. Well we have not been
that for the er last two or three years. I think he has to stop
being patient and deliver very very quickly. Call to Andre might
help ;D
I can feel the er 'by Christmas' phrase being dusted off in
preparation for the 'before the end of the season' phrase again.
I do think we will hang on in there however and remain in
National 1 for next season.

I know we’ve been here before Jim but on this occasion I think
Joe is right.
I loved Andre who always put steel in our team but he too had
some losses whilst building.
30 new guys
3 new coaches
I said before season give them 5 to 6 games to gell.
I stand by that!

Well said John, we've had two games against two of the favorites
for promotion this year, I'm not too unhappy with the start
we've made?

I hope we are better after 4 or 5 or 6 or 7. The phrases of last
year. I think we rush around but go nowhere at the moment and
lets remember that was DMP with 8 of their first choices
missing.
I dont think OE were a patch on Mowden however. We shall see but
we have a long way to go in the season and 6 or 7 wins should
see us safe to build for next season. I think that should be the
target now.
Stll as is always the case perish the thought someone criticises
the Titans.

6 or 7 wins won't be enough, it's been 10 wins and 60 points the
last couple of years. We look to have a tough start based on
early results, but we need to improve. Agree with John though,
fairer to assess after 6 games.
Off topic but as he was mentioned, Andre is coaching Aurillac in
the French Pro D2, unfashionable club in the rugby heartland
between Clermont-Ferrand & Toulouse. 2 home wins and 2 away
losses to start the season, as tends to be the way in French
rugby....still available at 100/1 to win the league, can't find
a price for him to depart after a bust-up before Christmas.

Ah yes was forgetting there were more games in this league. 10
wins is a lot so we do need to be in the right shape after 6 at
the latest. Hopefully we will have 1 or 2 wins by then. If we
have 0 out of 6 (god forbid and I dont think so) then we will
have to win a minimum of 10 from 24 and things start to get a
little more pressured. never a dull moment at the Titans and a
win has been be a fairly unusual event and so will get really
loud shout when it happens.

They were creative and to think they had quite a few out.
Thought Vee carried superbly and his offloads were immense. suck
2 into the tackle and offload. Their 10 really bossed things. I
think the side has a real good platform. Mike and Garry are two
superb coaches and were quality players. However I am not sure
to what extent they will get the crowds. Chatting to some of
their fans they were saying Darlington is not really a rugby
area. They could make championship though and sustain.

V never showed much for us and sustained quite a bad injury.
I trained with him a few times and he was such a quiet guy.
What happened to Semisi?
I know he went to Newcastle but then just disappeared?
Re Saturday 3 of their tries were soft on our part.
Another stern test awaits against Rosslyn.
