We lost that one with a few errors at the wrong time and the
yellow card.
Should have had at least 2 more tries.
Positives
Luis Ball my MOTM tackle after tackle carry after carry.
Seb is class
Connor Keys is rock solid.
Irvine took a while to find his range but was really good at 10
after that.
Abraham’s looks very good.
Some very good passages of play.
But some naive defensive lapses.
We just need a win and massive improvement will follow.
A huge thanks to the lads for some bodies on the line stuff.

Interesting game and not sure what I thought overall. It wasn't
the best advert for rugby with poor - very poor officiating.
Time wasted beyond belief. We made a lot of errors but if they
are one of the favourites then we must also be, particularly
when we have gelled after 3 or 4 games. I was disappointed with
their performance if they are the best. Well below championship
but realigning expectations. We will compete

Quite happy with what I saw this afternoon once the squad
settles and starts to gel I think we will be competitive we were
as good as O E (one of the favourites) and could have won.
Shocking officiating hope this is not the norm for this league.

Planning a trip from Cornwall to England to see you play Albion

the Cornish Side of the border)

Thought OE milked at the end and the ref lost control of it
really. Thought he spoiled the flow of the game. Unlucky to lose
and as far as I can see if they are one of the best - nothing to
fear. PTiemce, don't rush, don't rush kicks even if the ball
falls and we would have won.

Thought we were very competitive for long period and they did
play the ref much better than we did. when we got up a head of
steam one of their player would need medical attention for 2 to
3 minute taking the sting out of our play. But overall I am now
an optimism for the coming season.
COME ON YOU ROTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed watching this game, it was fast and open, with some
very good play from both sides. The ball was certainly in open
play for much longer than we saw in Championship games where the
endless Ping-Pong kicking of the ball was boring. The Scrums
stayed up more as there was less posturing to try and prove
who'd got the biggest muscles.
I thought our Lads put in a good performance, and what I saw
bodes well for the rest of the season. We had one player in our
squad who was with us last season, whereas OE's had the majority
of last seasons players on the field.
What an inspiration to sign SEB and make him Captain. This lad
has tremendous skill, pace, awareness, drive and above all, the
ability to inspire those around him. Tom Allott, a Try scoring
15, secure under the high ball and a willingness to come into
the Line at pace. Ellis Abrahams, a 13 who's a Line-Breaker,
how many times did he break the Line and gain yards. Henry
Roberts on the Wing, has great pace, but we need to get the ball
to him quicker. From our Kick-Off's and Up and Unders, who got
to the opposition at the same time as the ball --- Roberts.
Callum Irvine at 10, once he'd got the measure of the Pitch, he
ran the game for us and put in some good kicks in both defence
and attack, he showed the experience he gained at Leeds.
Josh Nott at 9, a class act, quick ball away from the Scrum and
Ruck, and an eye for the quick break. Conor Keys at 5, good
pace for a big lad, put in some big hits.
All the squad put in a good shift, we scored 5 tries to 4 and in
my opinion should have got the win. Ellis (13) missed one Con
kick at goal by a foot, we were that close to winning.
I thought the Ref had a 'Decent' first half, they all miss some
things, but in the second half he totally lost the plot. He
missed 3 high tackles and a lot of blocking. OE's 3rd try on
the Cricket side 41st min -- an OE player with the ball was
tackled, he fell to the floor on his stomach, the ball went
forwards about 3ft (knock-on), another OE player standing in an
offside position picked the ball up (penalty), from this they
went on to score the try which was converted. How the Ref and
his Assist missed this will go down in the X Files.
We won the first half 19 - 17, but lost the second half 14 - 17,
shows how one missed incident, or bad decision, can effect the
outcome of a game.
A gate of 579 was OK, maybe a couple of Wins will attract more.
We can only hope that some of the 'not sure's' will return.
That games gone, so we look to the next one, DMP away is going
to be a tough game, but if our lads play to their potential, and
cut out the silly mistakes, then we will be in with a good
chance of winning.
I honestly believe we can all enjoy this season, whatever the
outcome. Do we want promotion at the end of this season ?
Do we want a couple of seasons in Div One to stabilise the Club
? The Million Pound Question.

Good post. From where I was standing the missed conversion
resulted from the ball falling over and a rushed replacement.
The ball was not aligned the same and actually went in the
direction of the alignment. Both teams looked very tired and I
guess this is the difference between FT and PT fitness, OE are
meant to be one of the favourites - which means we are
competitive, This should be an interesting season.

Luis Ball impressed me Winger, a one man wrecking crew. He made
tackle after tackle our very own ‘Demolition Man’
I’m with you on the rest.
