Awesome team. Excited for tomorrow. When you think of the huge
names not in the squad due to injury etc it points to the
strength we have in depth.

Does anyone know what the injury is to Joji Logavatu, I am
looking forward to seeing him play, but can't even remember his
being around the friendlies?

The team looks great, we have a massive squad with competition
in every position. Every game counts in this league and we have
to go off current form.
Ronnie scored two last week so it is hard to move him out of the
Fullback position in what maybe our toughest game yet this
season. Townend will get his chance to make an impact, he is a
great player so I hope he sticks with it and has faith in the
direction we are moving as a club. It is a long season and every
team are going to push us.
I hope the squad stay positive, work hard in training and push
each other throughout this years campaign. Friendly competition
always breeds positive results on the field and we that this
year.
For the first time in a very long time we have a squad where you
are not worried when a replacement comes on. Every position has
depth. It never gets easier for the opposition when we make a
change. We have recruited players based on attributes and the
ability to fit into a role and carry out the game plan.
Harvey has brought in a new era for our club, his rugby mind is
second to none. I have heard rumours of the teams he turned down
to stick with us and that shows real belief in what we can
achieve.
I have not felt this positive about our future since the Andre
Bester and Lee Blackett days. Harvey seems to bring the best of
both of those worlds. A big, powerful, well drilled pack to get
us on the front foot combined with slick, fast, hard running
backs who can finish from anywhere. We have attacking threats
across the team.
I have to say how amazing it is to see Cookie and Jack Hedley
back in the squad after long periods off the pitch.
In our last season in the Championship, Cookie joined us from
Hartpury College and played at inside centre. He was one of the
only players to break the gain line and give us bit of positive
play. He has been phenomenal at Inside Centre. Breaking the
line, drawing in defenders, off loading, great handling. I hope
he can continue in his current form.
Jack Hedley is one of the most athletically gifted players we
have. Lighting fast with bulk and fast twitch explosiveness to
match. A true finisher on the wing. High energy. Speed, power
and an incredible eye for the try line.
Looking forward to tomorrows game.
Win or loose, this is the most exciting season for a very long
time. Well done to all. Long may it continue. What a bloody
squad!
