Very Wet Tuesday
Two Bodies (outside)
Unblocked gutters behind clubhouse, retrieved ball from
clubhouse roof, three bins out for collection (two general, one
paper& card), general quick tidy inside changing
rooms and shower, quick tidy of toilets. Reviewed pitch prior to
re-marking this coming Friday, lines fading fast due to growth
and weather.
Pitch update: well watered now, permeated to some depth no
longer rock hard, greened up nicely in response to treatment two
weeks ago plus recent rain, still growing may require cut before
Saturday and a roll if possible with the weather.
Rain stopped any further play, home early!

Firstly Big Happy Birthday to the Head of the ground crew Allan.
Many Happy Returns and had a fun morning marking out the pitch
for tomorrow!
Bodies - Two Inside, Four Outside, One Maintenance
Changing rooms and officials room tidied and swept out, internal
bins emptied, players shower cleaned, changing room toilets
cleaned.
Industrial bins put away having been emptied, kitchen general,
paper and glass bins emptied, match day bins put out around the
ground. Pitch marked out - grass treatment and recent rainfall
has encouraged grass growth and washed away previous lines.
Pitch no longer overly firm, good give. Pitch rolled for
tomorrow.
Shed tidied, swept and seating washed by Ann and Julie of the
ground crew - an unpleasant and time consuming job due to
pigeons, much appreciated by the rest of the crew.
General ground tidy of plastic glasses, fag butts, general
litter and discarded rugby tape, flag pole re-strung, banner
flag ground anchors secured. Scoreboard checked out prior to
game.

Stopped posting this due to seeming lack of interest and lack of
a dictionary but:-
BIG SHOUT OUT TO: Alan, Keith and Phil
Match lines cleared of snow/ice and marked out despite flat
battery, ancient manual alternative machine and very poor
conditions. Started at 9 and finished at 5 under flood lights.
If the lines get washed away over-night don't blame the effort!
Good job lads and thanks to Ann for cleaning the Shed seats and
Sid for keeping the dressing rooms up to scratch.
IMHO
