Did anyone that was at the awards night hear anything from the
players about whether they were staying or not. Obviously we all
know about big john and I know of one other player who has told
me he's going nowhere

These comments were made in The Rotherham Advertiser
The club has confirmed that coach Harvey Biljon will stay on
next season to lead the Titans in National One alongside head
coach Gareth Lewis.
Identifying players who can make sure Rotherham can survive and
thrive in the higher league is also under way
“It’s a process and we have started that process,” added
Jenkinson. “Losing Matt Challinor and Matt Smith to injury in
one year like we have, I don’t know any other rugby club in the
north of England that could take that in its stride. They were
big boots to fill.
“You need a squad because rugby is so attritional and ours will
need to be stronger next season.”

Looks like Will Milner is going back to Huddersfield next

Will Milner to return to Lockwood Park…
Huddersfield are thrilled to announce the return of National 2
winning Fly Half Will Milner.
Milner returns to the club following a successful season at
Rotherham Titans and will resume his 10/12 partnership with Ed
Barber.
Milner will bring composure, physicality and direction to the
side. On top of that, Milner has an excellent goal kicking
record.
Chairman of Rugby Nick Sharpe said “Will was a huge part of our
recruitment plan. It was evident last season we needed a 10 to
guide the team around the pitch. When we heard Will could be
available we acted quickly and he was very enthusiastic about
the project.
Will was always a very popular member of the side and he is a
perfect match for the culture we are trying to create both on
and off the field. This is a real statement of intent and I am
sure everyone at the club will be given a boost.
We are delighted that both Will and Kira who are expecting their
first child will be back home at Lockwood Park.
Milner said “I really enjoyed my time at Titans and I believe I
am a better player for it. With Kira and I currently expecting
it wasn’t feasible for me to travel the country in National 1.
Whilst I had offers from other great clubs I felt Huddersfield
was the right place for me. Having spoken to Nick and the
coaching team I felt I could make a real difference.
Huddersfield as a club has huge potential and I am delighted to
be back”

When one door closes another opens. With comments made earlier
in the local paper about wanting to be competitive in National
One, it will be interesting to see who the club brings in to
replace Will. Fly half is such a vital position it wouldn’t
surprise me to see the replacement being a player that has
experience in the championship or National One. Exciting times
ahead

Looking at Doncaster’s present squad and their list of players
for next season on their unofficial fans forum, I found on there
are a number of players that are not declared as resigned. Just
wondering if any might possibly be moving to us for next season
