Matt Challinor injury

For anyone who wasn’t at Llym today the game was halted for a
considerable length of time because Matt Challinor suffered a
serious leg injury and had to be carried from the pitch. On the
arrival of an Ambulance he was taken to hospital. Early
indications are that he has broken his tibia and fibula. Wishing
him a speedy recovery.

Matt joined the Titans at the beginning of the 2008 / 09 season,
he was an outstanding player for the Club playing in 58 games,
before leaving to join Doncaster at the start of the 2010 / 11
season. He stayed at Doncaster for 10 seasons playing in over
250 games before leaving to rejoin Rotherham at the start of the
2021 / 22 season.
He was once quoted in an interview at Doncaster that he wanted
to play until he was 50 yrs old, he will be 40 yrs old on the
14th February.
He has played ( upto now ) in 114 games for Rotherham and scored
17 Trys. Again he has been outstanding for us in his 56 games
since his return.
IF his injury is the one that Rucko has mentioned then it will
be a long and hard recovery. It's the same injury that has
kept Cookie out of the game.
We'll have to wait until the Club informs us of the Full Extent
of the injury, but whatever I'd like to sent him my best wishes
for his recovery.
It was an excellent result for us today with a welcome 5 pts,
but we'll remember Matt's injury for a long, long time after
we've forgotten today's game.

Posting with Challs’ permission to update the fans.
As many of you know Chall suffered an injury in yesterday’s game
at Lymm. It was quickly apparent that he had fractured his tibia
and fibula.
He was taken to Warrington Hospital and underwent an operation
to insert a rod in his tibia. He is hoping to be transferred
back to Rotherham in the next couple of days.
I’m sure you join us in wishing Matt well and a speedy and
uncomplicated recovery
