Rule Changes

World Series Rugby kicks of in Australia on Friday with a number
of radical rule changes.
1 A power try is awarded when the play is initiated from
within the scoring teams 22m and there is no break in continuity
of possession.
2 A power try will be worth 7pts, 9pts if the conversion is
successful.
3 Coloured lights on the Goal-Posts will alert spectators to
when a power try is Live, Dead or scored.
4 Green lights will flash if a power try play is live.
5 They will turn Red if the power play ends, either through
the opposition gaining possession of the ball, or a penalty
brings a stoppage in play.
6 Rolling substitutions will be introduced with teams able to
make upto 12 during a match.
7 Team's will be given a Minute from the time the mark is made
for a Scrum by the Referee, for it to be completed.
8 A free kick or penalty will be awarded to the innocent side
if the Scrum isn't completed within the 60 seconds time limit.
9 Line-Outs can be taken as soon as the throwing team is
ready, they do not have to wait for their opponents or the
Referee, even after the mark for it has been made by the Touch
Judge.
These have been brought in to speed up the game and make it
better for spectators to watch.

I like the one about the line outs, the others seem a bit

That will be good for Wasps then as they score a lot of tries
from their own 22.

Anything that tries to make teams play attractive running rugby
and stops teams using the kick to the corner and set up the the
driving maul is good for the game and more attractive to watch.
I hope the RFU will pay us for new posts with lights on
