Last night was a miserable end to a miserable season.
Having watched Roth throughout their stay in the ‘second tier’,
I somehow felt ‘honour bound’ to attend our final game at this
level. In truth I wish I’d stayed home and saved my
money.......
Once again this club is in disarray, no coaching set up, only
two players signed up (we think), old problems with the Cricket
club have resurfaced and a dwindling and disgruntled fan base.
There is a lot of work and bridges to be built this
summer........

It will be a tough close season and a different season. However
the positives are
New teams to play
New players to watch
Chance to rebuild
We are still Roth Titans
Wins will bring the fan base
Every cloud and all that

I think the key thing there Jim is winning!
Another lacklustre start to the season will not go down well
with those fans who are left!

Agree kev and I think next season will see a few more wins.
Bouncing straight back will be a challenge now as we have lost
almost every player. Sides like DMP Plymouth, Moseley will be
tough to beat to win the league. We will know more once we get
some idea of who will be with us.

I intend to renew my season ticket. Some encouragement from the
club would be welcome. I can’t bear the thought of them sinking
like a stone.

Your last sentence says it all, Jim.
Let's not show any despondency, just yet. Let's not write the
Club / Team off, just yet. Let's not worry about where the
team will finish in the League, just yet. Let's wait to see
who the new Head Coach is. Let's wait and see which players
are retained. Let's wait and see which new players are brought
in.
When the new Coaching Staff and playing Squad have been
assembled, we should have a better idea of our prospects for
next season. Would it really matter who the Squad consists of,
they will all be TITANS, and we should give them the same
respect and support that we have given to all other squads that
have represented the Rotherham Rugby Union Football Club.
At the end of next season another Club will be relegated from
the Second Tier / Championship, just has many other Clubs have
, since the League system began. Some Clubs have continued to
slip down the Leagues, some have consolidation in the third
tier and done well, and some have gone back up to the second
tier.
At this time, all we can do is hope that we have a successful
2018 / 19 season, and if we prove good enough, gain promotion.

Go with that winger. I. Am looking forward to visiting teams I
have not seen before. Let’s look at the big positive - more
meaningful games of rugby over the season compared with
championship. That’s a good thing.
