What now for Rotherham.

I think it’s fair to say that today’s defeat has sealed our
fate.
Any thoughts to how the club will ‘look’ next season?
Will we continue?
Who will be our coach?
Will Jenks and Nick carry one?
How many fans will remain?
Any thoughts?

I hope we might to a Donny and bounce back. But we haven't the
financial backing that Doncaster had. I believe they kept a full
time squad. Very difficult to predict what will happen. The
club has been a source of much pride over last few years and I
hope loyal supporters will carry on supporting Roth.

Coventry seem to be walking away with Div 1 and we beat them pre
season with reasonable efficiency. If we could keep bulk of
present squad we’d have a chance of a bounce back.

Although they are way down the league system London Welsh are
rebuilding in a very positive fashion. We must never give up
hope.

I think it is disgusting that posters on the other forum are
having ago at Nick and Martin because with out them our club
would have gone to the wall ages ago.

If it wasn't for Nick and Martin back in 20004 / 05, We would
have gone out of existence then.
Coventry's starting 15 yesterday included ex Titans Makaafi,
Preece, Dacres, Oram and Boulton.
I just hope that if / when we go down, Nick and Martin are
willing to give it at least one season to see how it goes.
If they don't want to, does anyone know what Mick Yarlett is
doing now.

On the Rolling Maul site, Donnyknightsfan has done an
assessment of the 12 Clubs. Said this about Rotherham.
It's been a difficult first half of the season. They have had a
terrible start but have shown a few signs of improvement
recently. They were hampered by a Big turnover of players in
the summer, which meant they didn't have the stability of squad
at the start of the season. I think Andy Key is a good coach,
but he hasn't got the required quality of players at his
disposal to compete week in, week out at this level. However I
think they'd do well in National One if they went down, but
their recruitment in the summer, whatever league they are in,
needs to be a lot better than this summer.
That's about right.

Mick Yarlett's money came from Yorkshire Windows, and the
original Yorkshire Windows has ceased trading, although I
believe Mick ceased to take any active part in the company some
years back. Last I heard he was involved in local politics
(Whiston Parish council).
Totally agree about the negative comments about Nick & Martin,
these guys deserve huge credit and thanks for the commitment
they have shown to our rugby club.
