Good win today and apart from a wobble in the second half we
controlled most of the game. first 15 minutes a bit scrappy at
times from both sides. Great win and exciting. One observation.
From where I was in the shed it seemed that the REF was not
taking any notice of the touch judge. He flagged two offsides
not taken. There also seemed to be an awful head tackle that the
ref overlooked. On one occasion the touch flagged a penalty to
us for clear offside, ref ignored and a couple of passages later
he have a pen to Otley. It was very confusing to say the least.
It would be really good to have someone explain the reasoning to
us as that would be helpful in understanding the relationship
between touch and ref.

The comms system between the ref and the touch judges stopped
working in the second half so they couldn’t talk to each other
is the answer

They were only 20m apart a d the ref saw his flag
Would have thought a little conversation would have been
possible.
