Didn't see that coming. Season not over as far as I am concerned
- just one game at a time.
Agree with what Chris said. Harry Newborn was about with the
squad on Saturday. A sign he is about to get involved again?

Harry Newborn is doing his probation period with the fire
brigade and can't play in case he gets injured.

Harry disappeared from the squad list on the offy site but
reappeared last week which would imply he's available again?

Very interesting comments. I don't think this season is over by
any means. We have a lot of games left to play and some exciting
games in prospect.

I echo the thoughts of all on here that didn't foresee Adam
leaving the Club. Overall I've been quite happy with most of
the Rugby I've seen our Lads play this season so far.
There are certain aspects of play that I believe can be approved
on, not just from our Club but from Rugby in general.
It 45yrs ago since I stopped playing and I watch games today and
sometimes think, has the game really advanced for the better in
all those years.
The Players today are Fitter, Faster and Stronger but has the
game really improved as a Spectacle. Most of the Scrums today
take up far to much time in a game, re-set after re-set, No
skill required now from the Front Rows just grunt and push
because the Ball is fed into the Second Row. The Breakdown is a
Joke, there should only be 2 Players on the floor, the Ball
Carrier and the Tackler but now it's just a Free-for-All. To
many players on the floor and Players Diving or Jumping over the
top to tackle opposition Players who haven't got the Ball.
Tackling a Player who hasn't got his hands on the Ball is a
Penalty. Too many times the ball carrier is trapped under 2 or
3 Players so can't present the ball back. One good skill in
this area is when an opposition play gets there quick, reaches
over and secures the ball.
Why have we adopted the Feed at the Scrum, kick out from under
the posts and the 50 / 20 from Rugby League. Big mistakes.

Totally agree with other posters regarding not seeing this
coming. When Adam was appointed to the job last season I
remember the club saying they wanted a coach that would be in
charge for the long term. However, it appears that he has been
singled out for last weeks poor performance against Sheffield
Tigers and paid the price. In reflection I certainly feel that
during last week’s match the squad didn’t display a typical
Titans performance so I wonder if there were other factors we
didn’t know about which has led to his departure.

I, for one, am not surprised at Adam's departure.
From the get go I felt that there was something missing, don't
get me wrong I would love to have been proved wrong, but the
manner of our defeats, were they down to player error or
coaching error, who knows.
Too much kicking possession away too often has caused us
problems. We have pacey backs who, when they have the ball can
gain us 30-40m and we still have the ball rather than hoofing it
up the field and start defending 30-40m further up the pitch.
Perhaps this is what the coaching team have ordered the players
to do, only the players and coaches will know.
Promotion for this season I think is over, unless we win all our
games and hope that Fylde & Sedgley Park slip up, but I can't
see that happening.
I look forward to every game that I can get to, win, lose or
draw I'll be back the following week supporting our Titans.
Watching the Titans is a great distraction from what is going on
in the world at the moment, and for those couple of hours I am
focussed on our team, playing for our supporters.
Looking forward to the rest of the season, c'mon you Titans!
