Hard lines. I wasn't at the game so I can't say anything on the
performance but it doesn't sound good at all.
However the season isn't over. Promotion is over but as my dad
said to me today that's probably a good thing as we are clearly
not ready.
For me, we need to keep the lads together. Retain the squad
again for the next few seasons and build for the future.
We have some young talented players who need time to develop
into a solid TEAM.
The likes of Sedgley and Fylde manage to keep their teams
together and don't have many changes player wise. I think this
is a big reason why they have consistent performances and don't
make as many silly errors as we do.
To the team, don't get down about the result!
We pick ourselves up and go again.
The season now is about building our squad together, cutting
errors and improving our performances.

Our discipline today was shocking lost count of penalties we
conceded must have been in double figures, also two yellow
cards, one for mouthing, but also thought the referee had a
terrible game

Discipline has been a big problem this year.
You can't be in the run in for promotion if you can't stay
disciplined. 2 yellows is ridiculous. I believe we got 2 yellows
at Ionians which cost us that game.
Back to square one, we need to start getting the basics right,
the penalty count way down and believing in our creative play.

Good posts Chris and it was a bad day at the office. We should
have had a other 21pts but things went wrong g in the final
moves. Team never gave up and put their hearts on the line and
they will develop into a great squad if we can hold onto the
majority. Ref was frustratingly bad and particularly so at the
scrum. For me - we won't go down and we wo t go up but there
will be some exciting games to go to for the rest of the season.
Still lots of rugby to play this season and I am looking forward
to it.
Onwards and upwards and Don't get downhearted Titans, bounce
back next game
Today's game is now history. Develop but don't dwell.

A totally un characteristics Rotherham display this afternoon.
The team appeared lethargic and didn’t demonstrate their usual
tempo and clinical dominance in the set piece. The only spark
appeared at the start of the second half. I can only imagine
what was said at half time. Tigers certainly wanted it more than
us us this afternoon, and this has evident by their elation at
the final whistle. A VERY POOR DISPLAY

Sheffield Tigers fully deserved their Win today, they showed
total commitment and desire throughout the game, our Lads
didn't. This is not to say that our Lads didn't have some good
moments throughout the game but their control in all areas fell
short of what was expected.
The WHOLE of Rugby Union needs to move away from the constant
desire to Kick the Ball Away, instead of putting it through
their hands. They rely to much, particularly from Scrum-Halfs,
on putting the Ball into the air in the hope that it is
miss-fielded by the defender. It rarely is. Run the Ball,
take the tackle, recycle, run the ball, take the tackle,
recycle. The longer the ball in your possession the more chance
you have of doing something positive with it.
We had at least 4 chances heading for Tigers line but the ball
was Dropped/Knocked On each time, Passing and Catching are two
of the very basics in Rugby.
We Lost the First Half 0 - 13, but Won the Second Half 14 - 6.
We seemed to be chasing the game for the whole of the 80 mins
and were somewhat lucky to come away with a losing Bonus Point.
It will be interesting to see the Penalty Count for this game,
particularly Ours.
Usually at the end of games I go and have a word with the Lads
and shake some hands if I think they've played well, today at
the Final Whistle I left the ground and went Home.
I'll finish on a positive, our two Wingers today had Speed,
Power and strength, why the Hell don't we get the Ball into
their Hands as often has possible.
Jack Hedley is one of the most Skillful and elusive players
we've ever had, give him the Bloody Ball.
Luckas Sableman-Blue has so much Speed and Power, give him the
Bloody Ball.
