Sadly beaten by a superior side today. Fylde lovely to watch,
slick passing always looked like scoring. I think we have found
our niche, a good National 2 side. We are a good side to watch
but still making too many mistakes to go much further in League
       system.

Best team on the day won. I really enjoyed the game and Fylde
were very good. They were marginally better in some areas. There
backs were very dangerous and we edged the forward play.
Lineouts still an issue. They were more creative in breaking the
       defence
Our unforced made the biggest difference which resulted in a 5
       tries to 1 defeat
We have some developments still to make to catch up with the
consistency and creativity when compared with Fylde. but I
think the differences were small but cumulative. I don't think
the score represented how close we were to them overall.
Onwards and upwards to Sedge next week. One of my favourite
visits. So chin up team and rattle Sedgleys cage next week.

Totally agree with the comments above. In the first half we made
a large number of line breaks without scoring. The team
appeared to have no plan B and kept using the same tactic
without success. I do feel on occasions we should have opted for
the scrum rather than going to the corner. The line out again
failed at critical points with the line beckoning. I also
thought that we saw how influential Lloyd Hayes has been this
season. Without his presences on the field the decision making
and execution of the back division was lacking.

Agree with all above comments. I think Fylde made 4 or 5
mistakes today, we made a LOT MORE. Its early in the season
but I think that we played against the League Winners today.
Their Forwards movement and Handling were very good, and if it
wasn't for our committed tackling they could have scored a lot
more Try's. We kicked the Ball directly into touch too many
times and our inability to get the Ball down when pressing on
their Try Line were telling factors. We had two speedy Wingers
on the Field today but we need to get the Ball in to their Hands
quicker. I thought that our Forwards battled well in the
set-piece and loose and put in some strong tackling.
Overall we were beaten by the better Team today and the Lads
should quickly get over this defeat and set themselves for
another hard test next Saturday at Sedgley.
Sedgley and Ionians both had convincing Wins today so we have
dropped to 4th in the Table, not the End of the World by a long
       way.
After Sedgley we have Huddersfield (H), Sheffield (A) and Sheff
Tigers (H), hopefully these games will put us back on a Winning
       Run.
After another weeks break it's Otley (A), Chester (H) and
Preston (A), these will hopefully keep us on the Winning Run.
This takes us to the last game of 2022 against Ionians (H), and
after our Winning Run we should be in the right frame of mind to
       gain our revenge over them.
After predicting this 6 game Winning Run please don't think that
I've been on the Jamesons, I honestly believe that we can do
       it.

       I have to agree with a number of the comments already posted;
the main issue was the number of kicks that went directly into
touch, from outside the 22 or from the centre spot, absolutely
killed us. It cost us hundreds of hard earned yards. There must
have been at least 5, maybe more? Lineout started well but then
became very predictable. Will we see Matt Smith again? Our line
out worked up to his injury.
Fylde were very precise. Their kicking, in all respects, was
clinical: place kicks - 100%? A number of 50/22s executed
perfectly - they were dropping the kicker back like teams do for
a drop goal. Their handling was very good and once they got in
front, they pretty much ran riot for the last 10 minutes.
Having said that, our pack was definitely on top, especially in
the first half. Defences were both good for the first 70
minutes. At half time, but for the kicking errors, we could have
been well ahead and looked the better team even though we were a
       couple of points adrift.
I also feel our decision making was a bit off. We got a lot of
penalties close to their line. Kicking to touch and losing the
lineout did not turn out to be a good strategy. Go for the 3?
Scrum it - we were well on top in there?
Disappointing of course - they were better over the 80 minutes.
       We need Lloyd back.
Cannot fault the work rate and attitude up to 70 minutes. Rupert
Kay and Harry Dunne just looked totally committed and everyone
worked hard. Both Jacks on the wing looked dangerous. We put in
a lot of very impressive hits.
Onwards and upwards. Another hard next game - looking forward to
       it.
