Roth were superb yesterday. Ionians next week interesting and
Sedgely will be a test as always. However I feel very optimistic
       for this season.

       Thank you Sedge Tiger!
Long way to go yet but yesterday was the most promising start to
a season I've seen from Roth in years.
Looking forward to coking over to Sedgley Park, me and my dad
always enjoyed our trips over when you were in the Championship.
I'm sure we will have some tense battles against Sedgley again
       this season!
Here's to a great season ahead
       Best of luck
       Chris

Our NEW signing from Australia was on the field yesterday and
joined in the Huddle at the end of the game.
He's a Back but I don't know what position he prefers, or maybe
he's an all-rounder like most Backs are.

Fraser Jones, Winger / Full Back. Introduced at the 3rd Half
presentation by Martin Jenks (9 minutes in, if you want to
       watch)
Two more to come, a South African Back 5, and also a prop due in
       a couple of weeks.

Still like to see a couple of 2nd row players added to squad. A
bit short in that department especially since Matt Smith won't
be available until the end of the year. Loved the game on
Saturday, best I've felt on my way home from the Lane for a long
time. Great all-round performance and really enjoyable to watch.
Let's hope the rest of the season will continue with this type
       of performance.

Yes, an excellent performance. The forwards were excellent as a
unit. Before the first scrum, which was a while coming, I said
to my wife that I thought we would push them off it. Actually,
it was like watching the start of a 100 metres. There was a gasp
from the shed at the speed that we powered over them. It was
always going to be hard for Harrogate.
But the backs looked very sharp too. Lloyd Hayes was in awesome
form, but the speed, support and offloading looked sharper than
we have seen for some time.
This weekend could be the toughest game of the season. We have
had some adverse results at Ionians. Let's hope that last
       week's form carries on.

Ionians will be a hard game but I am very optimistic about it.

Give my an Optimist over a Pessimist any day.
Throw the Ball around and Back each other up like they did
against Harrogate, although Ionians will be tougher, and I'm
sure that the Lads will get the result they want.
