Last home game

April 14th will be a sad day, when we play our last second tier
home game.
The fact that it’s against
Headingley/Roundhay/Leeds/Tykes/Carnegie and the’Y’ word (
delete as applicable) doesn’t help matters. Although to be fair
they haven’t got much of a travelling fan base to come and take
the pee...
What the club should do (but won’t) is use this match as a cause
of celebration.
Not to celebrate relegation, but to recognise what this club has
achieved. An unfashionable northern town without a Rugby Union
tradition took the league system by the scruff of the neck and
showed the ‘elite’ what could be done. And boy, they not like
it....
Would Exeter, Worcester, Leeds (gulp), Doncaster be where they
are now without us paving the way? Not to mention those players
who owe us a huge debt of gratitude for laucning their careers.
We should try and get as many of the ‘old boys’ back as guests
and also as many of our old fans back.
We should say goodbye to the Championship with our old attitude
of ‘Up Yours’ and our heads held high.
It would be lovely to see the Shed rammed with fans for one last
time!
Time to ‘phone a friend’ and get the fans back, it’s what the
club deserves.....

Good post Kev. Twenty Two unbroken years in the top two
leagues is a record to be proud of. We know that players will
leave, but we can't blame them. They will be used to regular
monthly salaries and will want to retain this.
We have rebuilt squads year after year, and will do this again.
I've said many times before that I'll support the Club in
whichever League they play in. So next season I'll be at the
Lane as usual. Non of us know what next season will bring, its
something we've not been used to for many years. I just hope
that supporters will turn up as often has possible to back the
new squad and show our support for the Board, who have given us
Rugby at the Lane since 2004 / 05.

At least we'll see Gary Law back at the Lane with Mowden Park

I shall renew my season ticket as usual. If affordable it’s the
best way to support the club.
