       Fun story.

Bare with me, this is pretty enjoyable...I think.
Let me summarize as much as I can, I live in Tx if it matters.
I get off work at 8pm, have the deposit with X amount of
cash (a lot). I bring my lap top to work and other things
everyday, but I really wanted a coke, so I get all my belongings
and set them in the car (As I do this, I set the Deposit (CASH)
and coke on top of the soft top). Do you see where this is going
yet? I then jump in my car ready for my nightly cruise back
home, unlatch the soft top, and away it goes. Aways excited to
drive, so I don't hesitate to drive home. I live 30 miles from
work, I get about 15 miles and instantly my stomach drops "I
need to take the deposit, I forgot, where is the envelope?" I
look around for a bit, and realize I left the coke and deposit
on the roof, Im sure it fell off and is at the parking lot at
work. I then find the nearest loop to turn around off the
highway, I go the fastest I have been in my 3 weeks of owning
it, and as I get close to work I think "Well maybe it didn't
fall, maybe its in the soft top". Which at this time, I thought
was ridiculous and would not happen, so I decide to go ahead and
stop and check. I come to a stop, look behind me, and the
envelop is wedged in between the soft top, halfway. WHAT ARE THE
ODDS OF THAT! I quickly grab it, barely held on (Not sure how it
didn't fly off when I was driving very fast). I notice there is
coke splatter on it, so I assumed it spilt a little and flew off
the car. Once I get to make the late night drop, I put the soft
top up halfway to find the coke still there, draining onto the
soft top, I'm pissed and thirsty, so I drank what was left, and
chunked the can. I hurried home to clean the untouched from rain
soft top to get the amazing syrup off my soft top.
       Man...what a night.

I had almost this exact same situation happen to me in my M3. I
had just gone to the DMV to get my new sticker, I had waited in
line for almost an hour, and I had finally had my number called
right before they closed. I jump in my car to head back home,
and it was a nice day out, so I roll the windows down. I stopped
at a Wendy's and got some food, placing the bag on the papers to
keep them in place. After getting on the highway, the stack of
papers(one being the page with the sticker) start swishing
around the car, they all smash around then seconds later boom,
go out the window. AHHHHHH, as quickly as possible, I roll up
the front windows, and close the back wing windows. I pull off
at the next exit, and stop the car to survey the damage. The
page with the sticker is wedged between the trim and the rubber
seal that goes around the rear wing window behind my head, and 3
of the other pages that I thought blew out of the car were
somehow wedged under my seat. After looking at everything, the
only thing that had gone out the window had been a few napkins
       from my lunch...
