So what did you end up getting?
I have the MB battle's for daily driving. So far so good. I
really haven't had a problem. I guess I'm curious as to why to
stay away from them.

dont worry about the wheels. Dont listen to all the b.s. hype
about cheapies. They dont just spontaneously explode. cheap
wheels typically crack, nicer wheels bend. All these internet
bash threads etc... forget to mention hitting monster potholes,
ramming over curbs, hitting objects in the road, maintaining
proper tire pressures etc. If they knew what they were doing and
inspected there car properly on a regular basis they could've
been avoided. Theres 1000hp cars on rota's.... how is that
possible when the explode on stock 120hp civics?!!
what are these going on then i will provide my unimportant
input.

The problem with the cheap wheels is this: no quality control.
That is really the one big difference. It is like the cheap
knock off watches. I had a fauxmega Seamaster knock off that
ran like a champ. At the same time, I had a fake Tag that was
shit after a week.
Another one to look at, more in line, is the cheapo China
exhausts. Yes, I agree, there are only so many ways to run a
pipe underneath a car. But that being said, I've seen 1k whp
cars running eBay exhausts. I've also seen stock cars running
eBay exhausts that are on their fourth or fifth exhaust because
they keep cracking. Yes, a proper forged wheel (and not that
rotary forged bullshit, it is still cast) is going to be much
lighter and much stronger. But you are also getting the
assurance that it is coming from a company that knows what the
fuck it is doing, as QC that it can back up, and will help you
out if they fuck up, unlike some of these other companies that
call themselves (insertnamehere)forged and get some Chinese
manufacturing plant like the quing quang gong wheel company to
make them some wheels and then sell them for a 500% mark up.
Oh, and I still say anything other than mutlispokes (or a
variation of them) is the wrong set.

well ya ultimately you get you get what you pay for no doubt.
But that doesnt mean you have to be an old vw with a set off
ccw's that cost more then your car. hella flush in this bitch.

Agreed. But if you are planning on seriously tracking your car,
I wouldn't cheap out on one third of the equation to keep you
glued down. If it is for light, occasional tracking, and mostly
street driving then I wouldn't worry about it all that much. I
still say if youhave the funds to buy the nice ones that are
expensive (for a reason), then buy the ones that are expensive
for a reason.
