A review of our rules... wake up TiT members
By: usarmyethan Date: April 8, 2012, 10:57 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
This was on our facebook so I'm taking the liberty of sharing it
to our boards because things in our facebook page tend to get
filed away where I can't find them to use for reference at a
       later date.
All was said during a beach street meet posted in our group page
and is about the differences between us and Beach street meets.
       *unnamed facebook user*:
That meet is not that bad. Its actually what the scene used to
be like. I know things change but those were the roots. Everyone
is all against street racing out here its ridiculous. All of you
would be a straight fuckin hypocrite if you say you only race at
the Track. So you mean to tell me you never rev your engine?
Never do a burnout or peel out? You've never done a pull on the
highway? Regardless if you were by yourself or another car next
       you.
I guess I have a different way of thinking since I've been going
to meets since I was 12 back in 2000 before F&F came out. Cops
coming and breaking it up was half the fun/adrenaline rush.
Guess things are way to different in Cali. The noobs gotta start
       out somehow.
This is my personal response to this persons remarks, though I
feel I am not the only person who feels this way, maybe just the
only one willing to personify my true feelings on the subject.
       Ethan Moran:
Unnamed, while I'm more than willing to guess that most if not
all of our members have or will at some point in time
participate in an illegal race of some kind. But before you rear
back and throw around the F word like some kind of all knowing
pissed off troll seeking bitch you should think about this
logically. With the left side of your brain. We as an
organization as TiT should NOT promote street racing and it
creates a solid public image to the police officers and
government officials when we say things like "we like to keep
the racing restricted to the tracks" and when we kick out the
people revving and burning out also improves our public image.
I'm not going to by-name blast other car clubs in the north
texas area who BY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE I have witnessed fall
apart from one. simple. "fun". burnout. But I will tell you
this, you come into our environment to obey our set rules
BECAUSE our rules follow those of the city and state posted
laws. Nobody forces you at gunpoint to come to the TiT Sunday
night meet in southlake, but if I'm wrong you should probably
call the police and let them know someone has you at gunpoint so
they can take care of it. Because they are here to help you
know, not hurt. Sit back in your seat and enjoy the effort we
put into making this a successful meet full of fun loving people
who have become MORE than FAMILY to myself and many others, or
move on and go to the beach street meets every week and get
involved with them so that when someone burns out at a redlight
next to the meet to show off to their friends and gets t-boned
at 45+, you'll have something to think about. Welcome to Texas
       and welcome to TiT.
