i couldnt really think of a title anyways i buy all the issues
of d sport and import tuner and magazines like that every chance
i get from the px over here but my squad leader who is a tuner
himself bought an issue awhile back about a technique called
blueprinting and what it basically amounts to is that instead of
buying each peice as you go and winging it you plan out every
little detail to get exactly what you want and do alot of
research on everything your going to do but as i said thats a
brief overview if you havent heard of it definatley check it out
and im going to try and find out what issue it is in case anyone
wants to try and find that issue

Makes since. Building a car perfectly on paper first, then
building. Is that what is basically means? I can see a lot of
money being saved, but then again whats personal preference and
tuning comes in once driving it, money would still be spent to
get it right, even if it looked perfect on paper. You know what
I mean.

Advanced planning isn't really anything new, kinda goes back to
the idea of measure twice cut once. Every car I've had that
I've had plans to change anything, I have a full spreadsheet
detailing what I want to do, where to best get the parts, and
costs that I should expect to incur. When undertaking any sort
of project, vehicular or otherwise, it is always a good idea to
plan everything out ahead of time.

Yeah exactly, Ex. With all my DJ equipment, I made sure to
always research no all my possibilities, etc, before I buy. Its
helped greatly, its just taken 10 years to get where I'm at with
my music equipment.

Actually I think blueprinting has to do directly with engine
performance and performance goals in order to achieve the
optimum power curve and output along with it's suspension,
steering, etc to make the "perfect" vehicle outcome.

^This. They aren't talking about blueprinting a block for a
motor build, but use the term blueprint loosely to define the
process of making sure everything is going to work together and
have a end goal in mind. This is opposed to the "lets just
throw parts at it and see what happens" approach.
