Need a new canvas

So I'm about to be back in the market for a new car. I've
already said im wanting a mk3 supra, but any other ideas on a Fr
platform(other than a 240)?

well the lexus sc300 is a good platform as is any of the nissan
z cars z32 being my favorite as chaz likes to put the s2000 is
pretty amazing too just to name a few consumer level vehicles me
personally i dont like any vehicles made after 2003 really its
not the engine and drive train but the design aspect i think jdm
had the best designers in the 90s the styling of that era is
second to none in my book lol ;D ;D

I'd love a 1j sc, or an s2k but money is a factor. I do agree
with the post 2003 cars, I think 02 was the last year Japan made
"real" cars like the supra, fd, and s15, think the r34 ended
then too

theyre trying to remake some cars from their good years now but
turning out horrible. FT86, NSX. They just look fake.
I'd see if you can find an ae86 corrolla.

yea it was the end to the true jdm sports car the wrx and evo
are amazing but thats really all that was produced after wards i
forgot the almight mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 as well id love to have
one if it didnt weigh in at almost an suv lol but you can pick
up a bone stock sc300 for less than 4 grand most of the time
and a 1j you can find those for fairly cheap as well

yea those ae86 carollas are rare now thanks to initial d great
anime but too many people want to be takami or how ever you
spell it ive found a few but they arent cheap either most of em
ran like 5 grand which for a 25 year old vehicle is pretty crazy
but at the same time it is a collectors item also i dont hate on
the frs has that ugly futuristic design but to me toyota is
bringing back what the ae86 was originally about and thats the
driver and the driving experience which alot of manufactures
need to go back to the golden days of that

I actually like the frs, but I don't like the way there making
the actual street use car look compared to the concept car. I've
had an 86 the only thing I didn't like was the short wheel base
compared to others. I wouldn't mind a run in Cressida either,
don't care who you are those cars have style even for a taxi.

the cressida has an old school appeal to it i hate how all the
new cars coming out wont have that long lasting love like the
older cars do

Yeah, these new cars have no soul, there all just commodities
and no spirit. I haven't seen a new car that truly has soul its
all either mpg or trying to fix something that's not broke. Like
the qr25 over the sr20 or that new v6 instead of the rb. I will
say the one car that might come close is the lfa, but more or
less cause that car is worth more then they sell or for by a few
zeros

I feel the same way. Especially when they are going with hybrid
turbo set ups. Evo 11 etc.... Yeah no turbo lag, but still. And
yes s2k FTW! lol. I wouldn't mind driving a 2012 GTR though, But
if anything Supra MK3 ftw for sure.
