This is my first manual, had it since late may. 96k miles, not
sure how much is on the clutch.
I was driving back about 225miles yesterday and around 200miles
my clutch started feeling light when depressed and wouldn't
fully come back out at the same speed of my foot, it'd kind of
pop back. I had trouble getting in first gear at a stoplight,
just tough. I go to start it this morning(its 50 degrees
compared to regular 70+) and I can't get it into reverse or any
gear besides 5th. I'm not quite sure on the problem. Before I
left the road trip, there was an oily residue on the ground
beneath my car when I backed out. I can try and give more info,
       just ask.
       I think it's a leak somewhere.

Hm so the clutch can be pushed in find but gets stuck? And wont
go into gear? Mattv had a problem similar to this, Im not sure
what exactly it was though. Ill ask him

Check your clutch fluid level immediately. This happened to me
and my clutch fluid was low. I only had an air bubble moving
through the line that I guess had worked its way out so all I
had to do was top it off but yours is more than likely a leak
since you're experiencing alot more difficulty than me. Only
problem I had was the clutch not coming all the way back up, I
pulled it forward with my foot and only happened from a cold
       start.

The master cylinder is leaking, i'm paying a shop to fix it
tomorrow. I don't have time to do it.

yeah bro, clutch fluid. this happened on my old 98 gsx. Its
probably your Master Cylinder (as you stated) but since your
master cylinder is messing up, watch out for your slave
cylinder. If the master cylinder goes, the Slave cylinder is
likley to go next. So keep a close eye on that clutch fluid.

Alright, I'll keep a check on that. I made the stupid mistake of
not checking my fluids before driving almost 4 hours.

Sounds like your clutch master cylinder is going out, you have
air in the line, or you are low on FLUIDS! Check those, purge
       and fill. Report back.
