u know what i was actually thinking was in the sc400 not the
is300, i realized that when u said that the is300 was a four
door i was like wait, the car i mean is a 2 door. but anyways i
think the best choice in my opinion is the rx7 with an engine
swap (cuz those rotary engines are a pain in the ass and
terrible gas milage for what it delivers) and that LS1 on that
car makes it fly!

Out of those 3, id say the Lotus. The Elise is the low end with
the toyota 1zz-fe engine that makes 140hp. But the power to
weight ratio is amazing. But exige (higher model) came with the
2zz-ge engine and some models came with a supercharger, to make
the 2zz-gze. 210 hp on a frame less than 2300lbs? that f****
flies! The 3rd gen rx-7 is awesome and fast but i dont like the
way it looks, veilside made the only bodykit i like and everyone
kills that now with the Tokyo drift look. tacky. Plus rotary
isnt a plus with the car either. Just my 2 cents.

Chaz, I'd been thinking about the S2000 as well. Only reason I
didn't list it is because I'd read about some rear subframe
issues. Not sure how common it is though so I really need to
look into it. Do any of you know much about the S2000? They're
quite reasonable in price for something that appears to already
be quite fun and nice looking. My only qualm is that you could
do about 10k in NA mods to them and get like 4hp from it. The
ONLY way to make HP on that engine is to boost :-\

Man I know the s2000 like the back of my hand. You have no idea,
Ive done so much research. Ap1 or ap2 8.5k redline for ap1. The
frame issue isnt that common. Check these boards im on. s2ki.com
or s2000.com

I know the AP2 is 0.2 of a liter larger. Did they increase the
stroke is that how they got the extra displacement and the
redline went down?
How much power does the stock tranny hold? I love the way it
shifts. It's a great transmission for the stock power. It's like
butter. And Paula Dean and I Loooooove butter.
