Bird feeding on blossoms, I loved watching them balancing on
       such flimsy branches.

I am so fortunate that my work environment is peaceful and
interesting with its mostly native gardens and the local birds
they attract. On my walks around the grounds, I can enjoy both
the ancient trees and the newly planted, more sustainable and
drought resistant gardens. A walk up the hill to the pond with
its lotus flowers is the perfect antidote to work stress!
There is constant movement and noise as the birds forage for
food in the garden beds and shrubs, while the resident ducks
enjoy the goodies in their food bowls. We also enjoyed the
adventure of rescuing baby birds after their nest fell from a
       nearby tree.
I see a wide range of birds but my hastily taken photos never do
them justice, if I manage to capture them at all! However, it
has whet my appetite to do a bird-watching course!
