US Politics

I am kind of big on politics and I believe that they are
essential to human civilization so I figured that this would be
a good spot to voice some of my thoughts. I don't know if
anyone will be reading this or not but even if no one does, I
kind of just need to vent this out.

Political Action
I was born in Phoenix, Arizona to a fully Mexican family. Both
of my parents were Mexican, as were their parents, and their
parents, and on and on. As far as I can tell all of my
ancestors have been Mexican-born. I am the first person in my
direct line of blood to have been born in the US of A and the
timing couldn't have been better.
You see, folks, currently in the United States we are
experiencing the emergence of a non-caucasian majority in terms
of population. For the first time ever, the minorities (African
Americans, Asian Americans, and of course, Hispanics) are
beginning to outnumber the White, Anglo-Saxon population. This
is known as a minority majority and though it's predicted that
we won't outnumber Whites until the year of 2045, I'm glad that
I'll be alive (I hope) during the process of our growth.
With that being said, the reason why I'm so pumped to see the
emergence of the minorities is because since somewhere in the
1900s, voter turnout in the US has been abysmal. Not enough
people are voting. However, polls have shown that
proportionally to population, minorities tend to vote more than
Whites. The way I see it, with a minority majority, votes and
voting will once again become legitimately representative of the
masses.
Politics, by nature, spark controversy. I've always said that
the three most controversial topics that one can talk about are
politics, religion, and sports. So anyways, I welcome whatever
responses may come this way and I respect the opinions of
everyone, no matter how controversial.
Now before anyone says anything, let me just make it clear that
I am not ranting off on the White majority for failing to be
representative of America as a whole, I'm just saying that when
the minorities match the White population, political
participation will once more become representative of the
people.
