Sian was in a good condition when she went down to Wales, put a
lot of time into her trying to get her fit.

Sian was in tip top condition when you brought her down Joe and
was a credit to your dedication to your dogs mate , She will be
a great asset to the lad who had her off you for sure , As for
the jumping thing ??? , well i like them to jump and like many
others have had some really bad tears on that barbed wire but
overall i like a dog jumping , My thoughts have changed a bit
with the smaller type lurchers !!!!! 20tts or smaller i think i
will not teach to jump , easy to lift over fence and small
enough to find their way under a gate or fence i think,
everyone,s different mate as you well know , atb

Aye she was Steve, very fast, hope she does a job down in wales.
Not suited for me mate, to big and to skittish, was keen though,
i think she will be better suited were she is. I was going to
have a whippet but the lad wants £750 for them, yes £750, not a
cat in hells chance. Had the options of a few different types.
My old ferreting pal told me he is going to line his sons bitch,
it is 7 1/2 and his son wants a pup before she to old. It is a
nice bitch, 21" strong build, dam was a top lamp bitch about 23"
collie grey x bull grey. Sire was same 23" whippet i used, it
threw some real good dogs, unfortunately its dead now. My mates
lads bitch don't miss much on the lamp, its a good one. Another
pal of mine had one same way bred out of another litter, it was
also 21" bitch, a top lamping bitch, was out with it a fair bit,
live to hand, lad trained it to gun dog standard, unfortunately
it had to be pts after a bad lamping accident. I got him a pup
off boxer to replace her and it is a corker on the lamp. Anyway
they are sired by the good whippet i used as is the stud he is
using, his own dog 22 1/2", so its half brother and sister with
the bigger ingredient being the whippet. The whippets are mike
brown stuff, big rugged things. He said he is lining it when it
breaks, he said it broke about 5 months since so might be soon,
he said its not consistent. There is one or two in Carlisle off
same litters as them bitches and they are good lampers. The
mating should not turn out to big or small for good rabbit dogs,
i think around 20 to 23", most important they are of solid
working lines. One about 21" would be just the job, they would
work out at 3/4 whippet 1/8 grey 1/16 bull 1/16 collie.
       Future dam 21"

The bitch looks in great shape. Is she a sharp ferreting bitch
       and a good marker?
