Had 3 more moles today...that's 10 now. Now I've been using
Bri's scissor traps, about 20 of them and 1 Talpex trap which I
have. Out of the 10 moles 3 were caught in the Talpex...don't
know if that's just luck or that they're a better trap ??? food
for thought before I make my choice of traps...

Brego comes everywhere with me Steve...Had to keep my eye on him
the first couple of times as he was trying to dig up the traps
:D.
I think any job or walk in the countryside a 100 times better
with a dog mate...

The lady whose land we have been trapping on has a real nice
garden. When we started trapping there were a few old mole
hills near her manicured lawn so I set a couple of traps.
There was no movement from this mole until last week when hills
started to pop up on her lawn :o...Set a few more traps
yesterday morning, last night the gardener text me saying I'd
caught the little blighter ;D. Surprising how quickly you can
get into this mole catching lark :D

I fancy having a go at it when i get retired in 6 years max. I
was asking a farmer pal if i can practice on his he naturally
said no bother. Might have a go before then to try and learn the
job, i know a old guy who does it, i need to get some lessons
off him before he packs up. As said could be a good way to pick
a bit of ferreting permission up and if not a bit of
diesel/pocket money up when you are retired. Be only 60 in 6
years so hopefully should still have a bit of steam left.
