The Definition of Science

As I began investigating the theory of Evolution, I quickly
discovered how little I knew about the subject. Discouraged,
flabbergasted and at the brink of quitting, I decided to
backtrack to the beginning, no not the beginning of time but
back to the basics of Science where many Evolutionists will not
go.
Science in my world is a forbidden subject because so many of my
Christian brothers and sisters latch on to the Bible’s
opposition to profane and vain babblings but good science is not
blasphemous
Before attempting to understand the concept of Evolution, one
must understand the basis of Good Science because it explains
the world we live in. Without science, man-kind would have never
invented the wheel, the car or vaccines to cure a multitude of
diseases
Imagine a world without Science; a world where medications did
not exist or a world void of technology such as oxygen
concentrators, air conditioners, cars, planes, telephones, and
computers. If these things did not exist, our lives would be
manageable but more difficult.
As you can see Science is one hundred percent real. Creationists
should not oppose this reality but learn about it.
What is Science?
Science is the exact study and probability of how things form,
work, operate and end within its own specific domain. For
example an Ichthyologist (a person who studies fish) would study
the Caesioperca Lepidoptera or Butterfly Perch in its proper
habitat which would be the Indian Ocean.
As I said above, Science is a precise observation; it is a
journey of discovery; it is not a roll of the dice or a leap of
faith…it is not a guess! This Journey has a road map; a compass
that guides every Scientist to his or her destination. This road
map is known as The Scientific Method and is executed and/or
applied by the following preset rules.
A Postulate (Assumption) is formulated by a Scientist and
Announced to the Scientific Community. To prove or disprove the
assumption, a good Scientist follows these three mandatory
steps.
- The Postulate must be Observable. In other words, A scientist
must see his or her Assumption happening
The Postulate must repeat itself to prove that the first
observation was not a fluke or a temporary accident caused by an
external force such as radiation or chemicals.
The Postulate must pass a test where the results are proven
valid...this test is called a falsifiability test

Under this umbrella definition and protocol resides to kinds of
Sciences. The first type is called Empirical or Operational
Science. This form is defined as the study of how things
function in the present. When a Scientist is applying
Operational Science all scientific information is readily
observed and repeatable. One example of an Operational Scientist
would be a Meteorologist who studies the current and observable
weather systems.
The second type of Science is called Forensic or Origin Science.
This type deals with things that are no longer occurring in the
present. Here a Scientist attempts to explain how certain past
events occurred by reconstructing past events from observing
data and/or material evidence.
One example of an Origin Scientist would be a Crime Scene
Investigator who collects, examines and observes physical data
left behind at a crime scene to determine how a certain crime
was committed and by whom.
Two other types of Forensic Scientists are Paleontologists who
study Dinosaur Fossils and Archaeologists who study Animal
Bones, Infrastructure, Artifacts and more….Both are at the Heart
of Evolutionary Theory.
As you can see Science is not fake; it is ongoing and
permanently affixed in our daily lives. Every time you turn on
your house light, science is involved; every time you prepare an
evening meal, science is present; When God Spoke the world into
existence, He created Science. Don’t be afraid of it, embrace
Good Science.
