It looks like "Bridgegate" is just a phony scandal

> Gov. Chris Christie's lawyers cannot credibly review a
political payback plot involving his aides because they are
missing information from key players, the head of a New Jersey
legislative panel said Monday.
>
> The lack of cooperation from ex-aides Bridget Kelly and Bill
Stepien, Christie's two-time campaign manager, raises questions
about the thoroughness of the report due out soon, Assemblyman
John Wisinewski said.
>
> The New York Times reported Monday that the review will show
that the Republican governor and possible 2016 presidential
candidate was not involved in the planning or execution of the
blocking of traffic in Fort Lee, apparently to punish the town's
mayor for not endorsing Christie. Five people close to Christie
have lost their jobs in the scandal that threatens his future
political plans.

Hmm.
Attorney's hired by (and long-time associates of) Christie
produce a report, for which two major players declined to be
interviewed, concluding that the man who hired them wasn't
involved.
Y'all understand why some might be a bit....skeptical.... of
this report? :D :D

Yup, sounds like the IRS investigation. Where the person in
charge of the investigation is. a big donor of Obama's, and none
of the people who were actually affected were interviewed yet
there wasn't a "smidgeon" of corruption involved.
Or Benghazi, where the people who actually survived it weren't
allowed to be interviewed. But what difference does that make
right?
Or Fast and Furious where the President declared Executive
Privilege before it could be thoroughly investigated.
Weren't these considered "phony scandals"?

The inspector general isn't doing any investigation. I leave it
to you to come up with a totally ignorant statement like that,
but this is just another example of you trying to lead a thread
astray. Please note the article below.

> Two Republican lawmakers and a conservative legal group are
crying foul over the Justice Department’s selection of a
Democratic donor to lead the agency’s investigation into the
Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of advocacy groups during
the 2010 and 2012 election cycles.

Sorry, you are wrong.

The IRS targeting controversy has taken several twists since
Lerner first declined to testify up through her testimony this
coming week. It was revealed that the tax agency had also
included progressive groups on its so-called Be On The Look Out
lists, though not in the same kind of numbers or frequency as
Tea Party groups. The Treasury Department’s inspector general --
who first uncovered the targeting –- said he was dismayed that
he hadn’t picked up on the targeting of progressive groups
during his investigation.

That is a different investigation at a different time. His
investigation is over.
You missed it. You seem unable to ascertain the difference
between the two. You seem to have a knack of proving yourself
wrong on an ongoing basis.

And people wonder why I think there isn't one whit's worth of
difference between republicans and democrats when it comes to
corruption and lies, lol.
