For the record, I do not now nor have I considered healthcare a
right! That being said, it matters not because I am not the drug

The point you keep making, and seem to not understand it

not. What I don't understand when you guys try to make this
point is how does something being a choice or not have any
affect on whether you have it or not?

You really do seem to go out of your way to appear moronic.
Unlike health insurance, liability insurance on your vehicle
isn't mandated to cover damages to you or your property, it's to
cover potential damage or harm to others. Only those most
clueless wouldn't be capable of grasping that simple concept.

The mandate to have insurance had nothing to do with making
health care a "right". It was the simple conservative principle
of changing the regulation on insurance companies and not
allowing them to deny anyone coverage for pre-existing
conditions, or any other reason. And to do that, you can't let
the policyholders pick and choose when to have insurance. So
everyone needs to have insurance all the time. you can let them
change policies, but they need to have one to be fair to the
       insurance companies.

I find it hypocritical that the same people who claim that
requiring people to have Ids to vote and that they may cost
money as an infringement to a right have no problem requiring us
to pay to have health insurance. But then these hypocrites are

On that same line, those that think having an id for voting is a
hindrance to the poor somehow don't bat an eye at charging
several hundred dollars for a gun license.

The two are comparable? Seriously? C'mon TS. 4.487 Americans
killed, 23,332 wounded and over $1 Trillion spent to accomplish

health care expenses out of pocket. I don't see how that is
going to increase the number of medical bankruptcies that had

       >

The out of pocket is never lower than the deductible and some of
these plans have a $12,700 deductible.
In fact there is a perverse incentive for low income folks to
purchase the cheapest plan with the highest deductible as any
tax credit they do not spend on premiums is refundable.
That $12.7K is roughly the entire annual income of a full time
(30 hour 9 dollar) employee at our Nation's largest employer-
Wal Mart. Think they'll come up with the cash? Or will we
still be paying for uncompensated care?
Previously they might've at least qualified for Hill-Burton,
Community Care or several other programs for the indigent.
Since they now have "insurance", they don't.

Not which were harmed more or which were preferable. In some of
these cases however, some of the same folks are being harmed by
being in Iraq, Obamacare and the incompetence of the VA and
their cutbacks I stand by my statement.

I would agree with your posting here, and add that shopping the
exchange for a crappy yet expensive plan is only because they
lost their inexpensive and crappier plan.

Yes, poll taxes, even ones hidden as just the cost of getting an
unnecessary ID to vote are usually found to be unconstitutional.
I know of one state that with give you an ID to vote at no
cost, if you don't have any of the others they will accept that
would cost money to obtain. That is the way it should be.
Any one saying I have said that having an ID to vote is a
hindrance is wrong. I have said that needing to spend excessive
time and money to get the ID is a hindrance.
Large fees by the government to obtain a gun for personal
possession can be a hindrance. That one is subjective and could
be an interesting discussion, if anyone could stay on that
       topic.
As for everyone having to buy health insurance as part of the
regulation of insurance companies not being able to deny
coverage, that concept is sound as was original put forward by
the Heritage Foundation. While they no longer support it
publicly, they have never said there is anything wrong with that
       policy.
