Ive seen that SP quote before. Amazing how the woman's insite
that was mocked by so many " intellectuals" appears more spot on
than theirs. LOL I imagine ole Crusty is melting down about now

The Russians have now launched a military invasion of Crimea.
Obama really scared them this time. ::)
The "cost" Putin will have to pay for doing this will be having
to listen to Obama's whining and watching him stomps his feet
like a little boy.

Hey, I predict it'll be cold next January if Walker is
re-elected in November. ;D
This was a sucker's bet. Putin would've invaded no matter who
was in the WH, this is just part of Putin's long-range plans to
put the old USSR back together.
He's brought back the secret police, hidden prisons, undone
many previous economic reforms and personal freedoms... anyone
care to predict when the bread lines return?

Oh, the costs could be much worse. He could send Kerry over
there to bore them to death. Accompanied by Biden and his
shotgun to destroy their woodwork. ;)

For Ukraine I predict by the end of the month.
It doesn't really pay to speculate on what would happen. I do
have to say, I think the handling would have been different if
we had a president who said nothing and did a lot instead of the
president we now have who says a lot but does nothing.
Putin has learned his lessons well. Flying in with helicopters
is a lot less threatening looking than rolling into town with
tanks and soldiers marching behind them. I'm afraid the end
reult will be the same however.

Hmmm. "same level of nothing".
Putin and his supporters are determined to show they’re
not cowed. And anyway, they remember President George W. Bush’s
warnings in 2008 that there would be consequences about the
Russian military involvement in Georgia, and seem to assume that
the same level of nothing will come out of Obama’s threat Friday
as did from Bush’s.
I'm not posting this to suggest Bush was weak BTW. He had no
trouble invading countries at the drop of a hat.
Rather that our response, or lack of, really does not matter
to Putin. He's hellbent on regaining superpower status and that
only happens when he blatantly and publicly defies the other
superpower.
There is literally nothing the US can do short of military
intervention, which isn't happening. Bush knew it back then,
Obama knows it now.
I'm curious exactly what consequences the Conservatives expect
the USA to impose?

Personally, I'm not looking for any consequences. However,
don't threaten "costs" when you know there aren't going to be
any. After hearing this threat time after time it just makes
you appear more ineffective, and, as I said earlier, flaccid.

With the invasion of Georgia, many conservatives stepped up
saying we shouldn't get involved, we shouldn't say anything
about a line in the sand or threaten force. obama keeps speaking
"stupidly" and making America look foolish.
Do any of you people actually thinknPalin knew the
first thing about the Ukraine? If she said that....and that's a
big IF....it was because one of her handlers TOLD her to say it.
Is it more acceptable if Romney had said it during the 2012
campaign? Yup, even Romney was laughed at for saying such
non-sense. Oops, it isn't such non-sense after all.
