       Adams County Humane Society Fire

Please keep this shelter in your prayers. It started on fire
this morning due to a faulty washer or dryer. All the animals
have been rescued and are being placed in other shelters.
I have noticed this winter there has been a lot of
       house/building fires. WTH?!

Travelled on a day like today to adopt an awesome mutt from that
shelter. Upon entering the facility and sitting on a bench, a
dog walked up to me with a leash in his mouth. What could I do
but to bring him home? I wonder who trained him to do that? :)
That dog never let me out of his sight...even if it meant diving
15 feet off from a deck as I walked under it to go down to the
lake. He had the wind knocked out of him, but survived the jump
       just fine.

ADAMS COUNTY (WAOW) -- A fire was reported Monday morning at the
Adams County Humane Society, according to the Adams Fire
Department. Fire officials say the fire is already out.
The shelter posted on Facebook that the fire may have started
because of the washer or dryer. Officials at the humane society
report that they were able to get all of the animals out safely.
According to the post, the shelter is going to need help finding
       somewhere to keep the animals.
Newsline 9 will update this story as more information becomes
       available

I just came back from delivering much needed goods to the Adams
Humane Society. It looks like the damage was isolated in the
laundry room and the cat room. I can't even smell fire in there
but there is a strong paint odor that almost made me sick.
Sheila, later on they want to collect alumni photos again
because those they had were destroyed.

Thank for the update and thanks even more for "the goods". They
       can always use it!

OK. Sounds good. Loki was a wonderful adoptee. People would ask,
"what the heck kind of dog is that?" I would reply, " a red
dog". (because his fur was the color of an Irish Setter)

They were happy to see my kitty today. The lady there told me
she named my cat and was happy that I kept the name.
I went to the vaccination clinic they had at the Friendship
Village Hall. I had to drive around 60 miles round trip, but I
saved 80 dollars. Sister Calico serenaded us the whole way.
