2Fat, I wish I had half the talent that you have when it comes
to preparing mouth watering meals!

thanks--but cooking is basically grunt work--no matter what the
folks on TV say--and the ability(desire) to read/follow
directions. If you give me a plan I can follow it but coming up
with a plan is not easy for me.
Before retiring drank more cooked less---not sure if the switch
is all positive!!

Looks yummy 2fat. What are you cooking it on? What are you
going to do with the drippings? I made a gravy with the
drippings once but I ended up scooping an inch or so of grease
off of the top. It was good though. That about a five pounder?

it started as a 16lb full packer cut brisket--lightly trimmed
just over 4lbs of 'hard' fat--only reason I have for catching
the fat is to cut down on the mess in the Big Green Egg--pic was
after about 7hrs--probably about 5hrs or so left--at the stall
point now

It looks great. Size is hard to judge in the pic. I cant
figure out how to get a pic to load from my phone camera. It
says the file size is too big.

I've got an app called Photo Resizer--free-seems to
work---Ioften just email the pic to me and go from there--not
the best way but-------

Yes Sir, I have her recipe. Someone told me there is a patent on
that pie. It was supposedly a school project. Did anyone else
hear that?

the pie always is good--used pecans vs walnuts--walnuts might be
better---found a similar dessert called Nantucket pie that might
be explored next

Oh yes, pie. I have gained weight the last two months. 2fat let
us know how the nantucket pie works out for you. I must do a
little cleaning out of the freezer now. That container with my
pie bars in it is taking up room.

Miles and miles of running this month have made it possible for
me to eat as much as I wanted and not put on any weight. Yes it
was worth the effort.

I've lost a few pounds as well on the treadmill and elliptical.
That's great for me at this time of year. I was listening to
two PT's on TV today and they said that exercise is no
substitute for a proper diet. I was a little disappointed when
I heard that but then figured screw em. It's working for me!!
