I like how science assumes things. Like in this story how this
man might of died in a local battle or personal dispute.
1,000 year old skeleton found under tree

(CNN) -- In Northwestern Ireland, researchers have discovered
the nearly 1,000-year-old remains of a young Gaelic man.
The body was found tangled in the roots of a 215-year-old tree
that toppled over in strong winds.
Archaeologist say it appears the young man died of knife
injuries to the ribs and hand.
They suspect his violent death came during a local battle or a
       personal dispute.
Apparently the death pre-dates the Anglo-Norman invasion of 1169
and even the establishment of the city of Sligo nearby.
Scientists are analyzing the remains to learn more about the
       area.
