Target makes its toy section gender neutral

Seems some have their undies in a bunch over this, to me it
makes perfect sense. I asked my sister a well trained early
childhood teacher how she handles the toys in her room and she
said there are no rules on who plays with what. Seems to me when
I was young I played with dolls (GI JOE). I think I turned out
OK. Not sure why this is a problem. But today io will stop at
Target and spend some money to off set any loss from those
       supposedly boycotting the store.

Cripes, my brother and I played with everything...blocks,
soldiers, baseballs, etc. And when we played JI Joe and Johnny
West, my Skipper doll and SITTING BULL always played. Sitting
Bull was Larry's big, moldy smelling teddy bear with one eye.
Putting toys in sections just makes them easier to find. Nobody
is saying girls can ONLY play with stuff in the Barbie section.

People are boycotting the store over that? Oh good Lord. As if
the toy aisle sets a person's gender identity, lol. We truly
       live among the stupid.

The fact that Target feels they need to do that shows we live
       among the stupid.

Instead of a "boys toys" and "girls toys" section, they simply
have a "toys" section. Doesn't seem stupid to me, probably is
       more efficient.

I don't see what all the fuss is about either. Just don't mess
       with the underwear department!

You don't want underwear with a hole in the front?

Would the transgender Barbie come with an attachable penis and
       deflatable breasts?

I must be unanimous of the baby boomers here to think that is
       stupid.
I did not play dolls much or even play with toys much. I
remember a lot of running games and making tents from sheets
thrown over the clothe line or over the chairs. We swam, skated
and played in the woods, looked for rocks. Those are activities
I did with friends that were boys or girls.
One favorite thing I used to do was bounce on a mock trampoline.
A friends' dad bought a tractor inner tube and partially filled
it with air. We took turns jumping on it or jumped on it at the
same time. She called it Sinclair or Montclair, something like
       that.
