Word of the day

English is a beautiful language that gives us so many words to
describe things. This past week I have heard several words I
never heard before. Such as edict. An official order or
proclamation issued by a person in authority.
Or the word formidable-inspiring fear or respect through being
impressively large, powerful, intense, or capable.
The word countenance: appearance, especially the look or
expression of the face.
