It's 30 large American companies. While the exact makeup does
change from time to time, it doesn't happen frequently, roughly
one or two stock subs every few years.
I agree it doesn't measure the health of the entire market, but
it's probably the best apples: apples comparison we have from
one administration to the next.
It's also a pretty good indicator of the health of American's
largest corporations. They're doing pretty well for having a
job-killing Commie Muslim Socialist redistributor-in-chief in
charge, no? :D
If I were heavily invested in stocks (and I'm not...I'm too old
for that much risk) I'd be getting out about now. IMHO the
market is irrationally high and we'll be seeing a [s]big fat
crash[/s] correction soon.

Why not? You do with 97% of posts you reply to mine with.

Lol. It wasn't 24 hours after Bin Laden's killing that the
Republicans were trying to credit BUSH for his death. "Obama
just happened to be president". I believe some on this forum
were making that exact argument.

I sure am glad you are able to see the humor of ordering the
death of an unarmed gray haired man watching **** on an analog
TV in Pakistan. However, by Pakistan standards, this might be
considered living in the lap of luxury. At least prior to being
shot. I am surprised you haven't demanded someone be tried as a
war criminal...YET ;)
Since we started off with the EPA and ended up in Pakistan HOW
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE A TRIP TO THE MOON ??? >:(
Since you want to bring up Nixon (again) why does he not get all
the credit for men walking on the Moon when Apollo 11, 12, 14,
15, 16 and 17 all happened on his watch? More to follow sorry :(

For ten years his face was on matchbooks with the WANTED DEAD OR
ALIVE $10,000,000 mark on him. He had all the warning he could
have asked for. ::)
Back to the Moon, if men only walked on the Moon when Nixon was
President why give any credit to Kennedy and Johnson?
Back down to Earth (thanks for ending manned US space fight
altogether, Barry BTW) how about the AFTERMATH of killing Osama.
Look back if want but I will now what I said at the time.
Killing Bin Laden was good. Giving away the details so Navy SEAL
Team 6 could not do something like this again, namely ratting
out our own informant who was imprisoned for giving said help,
that was just beneath contempt. Talk about no good deed goes
unpunished #understatement >:(

So we can thank Obama for getting rid of Bin Laden, the soaring
stock market,
Not sure what your knowledge of the stock market is, but while
the dow jones numbers are high it "The Dow is flawed, It is
biased towards the very large companies and only measures only
about 20 percent of the market. It also fails to appropriately
weight stocks in the index. So it is hardly an accurate
indicator of the overall health of the market

Much like the unemployment numbers. Things are actually worse,
not better.

You're going to have to ask that of the "He was the CEO" crowd.
Unlike them, I actually understand things happen in context and
not in a vacuum.
But...if the CEO gets 100% of the blame for bad, then they get
100% of the credit for the good. Can't have it both ways.

How about walking out of the war room (or whatever you want to
call it) because he wanted to PLAY A CARD GAME ???
I have no joke for that :( Anyone want pinch hit here?
What I do have is a story of CHILDHOOD ADHD and a potential
police brutality lawsuit. You may heard of this but if not let
me recap. It involved some brat kid not behaving himself in
class so his teacher calls the police in and in order to get to
calm the (BLEEP) down the officer tried to handcuff him but his
hands were too small so he cuffed him by the arms above the
elbows. There is video footage showing him crying and screaming
with police officer telling him if he does calm down those will
stay on. Last I heard social services is having cow over this
because of some law that states that police are not allowed to
use force on the DISABLED! ADHD is disability and a get out of
jail card? I call BULL CARP! If this is not then it is time to
read Article Two Section One Clause 6 with emphasis on
INABILITY! >:(
Sorry if this rant seems to gone way to far off on a tangent but
the BS meter just hit red lined in a way I never thought was
possible. :o :(

Seriously????? This isn't some hardened criminal...it's an f'ing
KID. A GRADE SCHOOLER! I saw the video...this cop was being a
freakin' bully....I don't care if the kid had ADHD or nothing at
all! A$$holes like this don't belong in uniform.

You are right, it is a far off tangent, lol.
Police certainly are allowed to use force on the disabled.
Heck, not that long ago they popped a double amputee sitting in
his wheelchair.
HTML http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/23/us/texas-amputee-shooting/
Hey, he threatened the cop with a pen. Yeah, ball point.
Disabilities like ADHD are not get out of jail cards, the jails
are full of the mentally ill. No crime here, so I'm not sure
why Jail would be considered.
Here's where I see the problem:
School kids with disabilities are required to have an IEP that
lays out everything from their educational plan to discipline
plan and everything in between.
That IEP must be followed by federal law, excepting for
unforseen emergencies.
A brat misbehaving in class is not an emergency, thus I would
assume they skipped over a couple of steps when they went
straight for the police and handcuffs.
Also violated Kentucky law it appears, unless the child was
completely out of control and presented a danger.
Remember the good old days when misbehavior in class meant your
mom was getting phone call and you'd be trouble when you got
home? Do they bother with parents anymore, or just go straight
for the cops and handcuffs?
