+1 That is an excellent quote.
This is one of the things Jimmy Carter got right. If we are
truly "pro life" we need to be "pro mother" and "pro baby" as
well. By making it easier to keep and raise a baby, abortion
becomes less necessary.
Criminalizing abortion does not work , "abstinence only"
education actually increases teen pregnancies and cutting
support programs increases financial pressure to terminate the
pregnancy. Politics trumps common sense unfortunately.

I got into a heated discussion on Facebook with a person who is
absolutely against using animals as test subjects but for
reasons I don't understand doesn't have a problem using fetuses
for experimentation. She would say "look at all we've learned
and all the new medical advances". This is a stand I just don't
understand. She calls it a "fetal donation", totally ignoring
that a fetus must die for it to be a donation. Another one of
those that will get excited over a lion being beheaded but a
"fetal donation", ho hum.

You know what the biggest difference between liberals and
republicans is on abortion?
Liberals get abortions and try to keep them legal.
Republicans get abortions while trying to make them illegal.
I'd bet 50% of the line at the PP clinic votes Republican. They
are just keeping their " personal choice" on the QT.

Just curious.
You made a comparison between liberals and Republicans. Why not
Democrats and Republicans? Or liberals and conservative?
Do you plan on standing outside a PP and take a poll?
If so let me know when and where. I want to watch how that
turns out. LOL
I bet a squad car would be there within 10 minutes of asking
the first person.

Do you honestly think Republican women don't get abortions?
IMHO it's a lot like Catholics and birth control. The public
answer and the private action often don't match.
(but yeah, it is speculation and I'm sure no such statistics
exist)
