I recently problem solved an issue that I had with a flower and
I thought I would share it.
I was weeding in one of my flower beds the other day an I
unintentionally pulled up a beautiful indigo colored Chicory
plant. I knew that I would be able to dig a new hole for it and
place it into the dirt. No problem. What saddened me is that I
bent the plant in half. The plant is 4 feet tall and I thought I
would lose it. What I did to save it was I made a little cast
for it using a plastic straw. I cut the straw the whole length
of it down. Then I mad another cast to put over the first. I
additionally braced the plant by placing a tomato cage over it.
Today I looked out the picture window at it and it healthy and
is blooming its beautiful indigo color again.
I was looking at my lawn and I was considering bagging my grass.
I don't now. It is an issue that someone that lives near me has
with me. There is no law that states that one needs to bag their
grass but if someone had the power I am sure he would change
that rule.
I always thought that when you have a mulching lawn mower such
as I have that the grass clippings were good to leave on the
lawn. I am not sure. I am also not sure in purchasing a bag for
my 17 year old lawnmower either.
