The flying of a confederate flag is not illegal, it's not even
racism. You can fly the confederate flag and, A) not have any
racists intent, and B) Not be a racist. Are the Duke Boys
racists? It seems our government is taking more freedoms away
than ISIS even though of.
It's gotten to the point where throwing a non compliant,
belligerent black woman in jail by a white cop is racists these
days.

I've always considered the Confederate flag a sign of treason,
more than anything. And I understand why black people find it
offensive.

I consider gays immoral. My opinion. I'm not going to demand
they not live their lifestyle. There's many other examples I
can come up with but I'm not going to demand laws be made to
change/outlaw that behavior. This is the United States. We're
supposed to be a melting pot. Diversity is supposed to make us
better people. Instead it's just caused more division of late
than anything. This has trickled down from the very leadership
of this country.

I would not advocate for laws to ban Confederate flags either.
Fly what you like.
I draw the line on flying them as an official act over a state
capital as it implies state approval of the flag and all it
stands for.
I'd have the exact same comment should a state government fly a
Gay Pride flag over the capital. I have no issues with gays,
but it isn't the state's place to endorse or deny.

Flying the confederate flag is still not illegal and nobody has
taken away your right to fly one.

How do you feel about the Confederate flag flying over war
Memorials on public land?
How do you feel about Confederate war memorials?
How do you feel about Military bases being named after
Confederate Generals?

Now here is a case where I am on the fence. I am not sure how I
feel about the confederate flag being flown....... seeing as
it is not the flag flown. I do find it objectionable to fly a
battle flag that was carried by an army that was fighting
against the USA objectionable.

That was 150 years ago and those men were all forgiven at the
end of the war. They were welcomed back into the Union with arms
open. Why are people having trouble forgiving them now?
This is just a fabricated issue. Just something more for a
certain group of people to complain about and make demands
about. After this one they will just make up an new one to
complain and make demands about. They always do. They love to
play the victim.
